Check-in: 2 miles w/ Leslie. I'm happy to have found online a 30-day rotation from October 2014. It mainly uses 3 DVDs, but with suggestions for substitutions too.

San Jose choir rehearsals start tonight. The first 2 weeks will be via zoom. Then, unless things get worse, we plan to rehearse in person, 6 feet apart and wearing masks. Zoom will also be offered at the same time. I'm glad I'm no longer on the Board of Directors, I know that they put a lot of research and thought into these tough decisions. Proof of complete vaccination is required to rehearse in person and to perform. Those unvaccinated can still belong to the choir but are limited to zoom rehearsals and will not be allowed to perform.

Today I did a glute isolation workout with no equipment. I didn't have enough room for everything. So glad that this is our last day! The owner of the new flat called to tell us the previous people left a day early and we can begin bringing our suitcases over today (even though it won't be cleaned until tomorrow). So this will make it less stressful for us, because it's a lot to transport the big suitcases in a city in Europe with the narrow streets, etc. Looking forward to more space at the new place.

Cynthia, glad the choir is able to start again!

Diana, I hope the internet issues are over.

barre 3 30 minutes; yesterday yoga class (on Zoom). It's been kind of busy keeping up with classes and the holidays. We leave tomorrow right after classes to head to Tulsa for Yom Kippur services so I have to cook tonight.

Cheryl, glad DD is liking school. Must be a big adjustment. Also good you are making your move now.

Cynthia, sounds like they are thinking the performance and rehearsal plans through very carefully. Do you have the singer's mask? I ended up just using and N95 and a mic with it. A lot of equipment on the head (not good for my hairdo) but it seems to work.

Diana, hope your internet is fixed. Always aggravating when it doesn't. My laptop has been buffering a lot in the middle of streaming which is annoying, but does give me a break.

Cheryl, anything that reduces stress is good!

Lynn, at least you don't have to cook for this (fasting) holiday. I did get the singer's mask. The choir's website listed several varieties; I got the one from the Broadway Relief Project. Last night at the zoom rehearsal, the director announced plan B in case of another wave/variant: those wiling to sing would perform 6 feet apart in the cathedral with no audience. That would be recorded and published on youtube. The cathedral for the performance is St. Joseph's Cathedral Basilica in San Jose, where we have frequently performed. It is enormous. But the reverberations are so intense that we really need the place filled with audience bodies. It sounds awful when we warm up before the audience gets there. Still, I'm glad we're not going to record individually any more.

Diana, I hope your internet is behaving.

Check-in: the dumbell toning section (30 min) of Walk it Off in 30 days. I also did 10 min of walking before each meal, so it didn't feel like working out for an hour.
