Hi Everyone,

Yesterday evening I did take my Golden for a walk...

Today, so far, has been:

Pahla B - June Playlist Day # 1 - metcon. I enjoyed this one - 40 second intervals - cardio followed by two strength exercises. No repeats.

Trifecta Pilates - 14 Day Challenge Day # 1 - this was a 'reformer on the mat' style workout. It moved a bit faster for me - but it is marked as a Level 2 class. Since I tend to just dabble in Pilates I do better w/ her Level 1 classes. Although I think if I were to work w/ her stuff regularly, I would see improvements. It is just the exercise ADD thing that stops me.

Well, back to work - it is "Moan" day even though it is Tuesday!

Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning! This is my last day before returning to work tomorrow, sigh. Yesterday featured:

~ Winsor Abs Sculpting Pilates (original)
~ Walk around neighborhood after the rain
~ 5,000 steps

Donna - I spent a lot of yesterday zoning on the couch, too. We deserve some rest!

Good morning Summer Breeze and Diane, and anyone who visits! Have a good day.

Hi all !!

Yesterday was:

29 minute outdoor walk

DD and I took a short brisk walk when we got home after the bbq yesterday. The bbq was a lot of fun, it was great to see everyone together after such a long time.
I am planning a walk for today.

DIANE, my dad was also a WWII vet but not disabled. That was an amazing generation.

DONNA, nice work walking during the crappy weekend and your other activities.
I was eyeing Pahla's new workout earlier.
Maybe instead of eyeing it I should just do it .

PAT, you got some nice activity done too.
The sleep and rest is important as well.
Sorry to hear your dad suffered too from the war. Enjoy your one more day off!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hey guys!

Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. Being retired, believe it or not, I miss that feeling of a long weekend! I'm not being obnoxious or joking - it's just that every day seems the same. Nothing special about the weekends anymore. Oh, shut up Diane, woe is me!

Anyway, workouts!

Cardio day - Elliptical workout
Yoga
In the afternoon, I added a Madfit Inner/Outer Thigh workout and more yoga.

Pat - Thank you for your kind words about my dad. He was an emotionally unavailable dad but worked 3 jobs to make sure his family was provided for before his injury forced him to retire. He had schrapnel in his leg, which turned into osteomyelitis. As an adult and knowing more, I realized that my father, who had seen a lot of battle and actually saw his best friend from Brooklyn get blown up in a fox hole, dealt with PTSD for the remainder of his life. Greatest generation doesn't even begin to describe these men and women. My uncle, still thriving at 96, fought in the Battle of the Bulge. It's mind boggling the sacrifices these people have made for all of us. I don't think I'd have the courage to do what they did.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! I think we're going to continue on our bike rides today. There's a 720+ mile bike path that goes straight to Buffalo so we're trying to do portions of it. This weekend - the 90s with humidity! Eek!

Hi Everyone,

This morning was:

Ellen - Fat Burning Fusion 2 - a favorite of mine on Ellen's streaming site!

Last night DD and I walked the doggie around the neighborhood.

It is very sad that so many people who serve in the military return with PTSD and other issues as well as physical injuries. I guess it is the nature of the service, but I hope that at least the care for their mental health injuries is better/more recognized than previously. I'm probably not saying this right - but I guess i just hope that now service men and women are receiving the help they need for their mental as well as physical injuries.

Diane - I can live w/ every day feeling the same if i don't have to go to the "office" (in my case a virtual office for now, anyway!) LOL!

Hope everyone has a good day.....

Hi all !!

Yesterday was:

50 minute outdoor walk

Planning another walk for today and maybe more?

I guess I'm technically retired since the restaurant I worked at closed down last year due to covid but I may at some point look for something part-time. I have no problem whatsoever with every day feeling the same though

Nice workouts, DIANE & DONNA.

Hi PAT.

Have a great day!

Hi all !!

Yesterday was:

42 minute outdoor walk
100 kettlebell swings

DD and I walked to the P.O. and back yesterday. Not sure if I'll walk today. It's pouring now but I think it's supposed to stop soon. Maybe an indoor workout?

Waves to all.

Have a great day!

Hi everyone! Sorry to be MIA. I got slammed with a severe allergy spell with headache and dizziness so bad I couldn't drive. My doctor called in steroids so hopefully I'll be functioning soon.

Just came by to say hi to everyone and read your posts to motivate me.

Hi Everyone,

Today's mix of workouts may be something I can stick with!

CS - Episode 1203 -
Pahla B - June Playlist Day # 2 - low impact cardio
Jessica Valent - 10 Min Pilates for Beginners (from her 10 in 10 series)

Last night DD and I went for a walk - love doing walks in the evenings!

Pat - I think the change in weather is messing w/ me a bit, too, have a bit of that "hangover" headache and I had nothing to drink the night before.

Nice work, Summer Breeze!

Waves, Diane and anyone else stopping by today!

Donna, exactly - that horrible "hangover" headache. I hope the dizziness resolves ASAP.

Maybe I'll try some Lee Holden after work just to move myself around a little. Grrr! Didn't need this!

I posted something sad earlier and took it down. It's a gloomy enough day and I came by for motivation. Onward!!!
