Hi Everyone,

I did another Lively Ladies workout today - it was the new one she posted yesterday:

2 Mile Walk at Home Workout - this was my least favorite of all the LL workouts I have done do far. For indoor walking I prefer Leslie, Jessica and Gina B. This was ok - it wasn't bad and it got the job done...

CocoLime Fitness - 15 mins stretch for hip flexors and hamstrings.

CocoLime offered a .99 trial for her paid site. I used to follow her on You Tube but she moved the majority of her content over to a paid site on Vimeo. I have been wanting to check it out and it seemed like a good deal for .99 for a month. I'm not sure if I will keep the subscription beyond the month. But I plan to try out some of the workouts. The subscription isn't too bad - $8.99 per month.

Anyway - back to the fun of the virtual office today!

Christina - it is good to see you!! Lively Ladies is a You Tube channel where she offers some nice moderate workouts:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbg...Y81dtfkWW-x6DA

Pat - thanks for the link! I will check it out. I'm on an Irish kick right now - looking at Irish authors to read, too, LOL!

Diane - I'm just ready for retirement, LOL!

Waves, Summer Breeze, hopefully nothing wrong w/ the sump pump. My Fridge makes horrible noises from August - Sept - I think b/c of the humidity - but I'm always worried it is going to up and die one day.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Donna

Good morning! Happy two-Moan Days. Oh it was hard to pull myself together last night after three days of doing whatever the heck I wanted and enjoying it. I wore pajamas until after 2:00 each day, then switched to yoga pants for a few hours. Yesterday was bouts of food prep, tidying up, reading and playing with my new oracle deck. "Officially" I did:

~ SarahBeth Yoga 10 Minute Bedtime Yoga in Bed
~ Yellow Brick Cinema Deep Sleep Music 24/7 while I drifted off to sleep (yummy)

Diane, how uncanny about your neighbor's cat resembling Wenchie (what a cute name). I had a Maine coon as a child and he was the sweetest lover, no cattitude at all.

Hi Christina, nice to see you! I hope your fibro will back off, good luck.

Donna, enjoy your month with Coco Lime.

Good morning Summer Breeze!

Hi all !!

Yesterday was:

46 minute outdoor walk

I was doing errands over in the next town so I decided to walk in my favorite park.
It was a glorious day. I'm hoping for another walk today before the rains return

PAT, what lovely deep sleep music. Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your long weekend. Good for you.

DONNA, enjoy your CocoLime sub. DS and I tried jiggling the sump pump around. I think something is loose but I'm not very handy. It doesn't seem quite as noisy but something is definitely off. Whenever my fridge gets noisy I panic. It's pretty old.

DIANE, let's hope our motivation returns soon. At least your doing great bike rides and I'm getting my walks in for the most part.

CHRISTINA, good to see you. Hope your fibro pain eases up soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning all! Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful walking day, but I just didn't do it. Should have pulled myself up by the sneaker straps and gone outside no matter how short. Let the mopes come over me. Anyway, I did:

~ SeniorShape Fitness Yoga & Pilates Mat Workout
~ YogiBethC Come On Get Strappy
~ Kassandra 10 Minute Yoga in Bed
~ 3,500 steps for the day

That was my first SeniorShape. I give the workout itself a meh. I really liked Lauren, the music and the soothing blue colors, so I'll try more of her offerings.

Summer Breeze I hope the sump pump gets figured out soon. I have refrigerator panic, too, especially now that things like that are hard to come by and overpriced. Your walk in a different park sounds so nice!

Good morning Donna, Diane, Christina and anyone who visits today.

Good morning! Yesterday featured:

~ Jason Stephenson Pain Relief Guided Meditation
~ Margaret Richard Good For You segment 2 - tris, bis, hamstrings, glutes and quads
~ Jessica Richburg 20 Minute Full Body Yin Yoga
~ 5,000 steps for the day

The yin class was interesting. One feature was ankle stretch, where you sit on your heels and lean back so that your knees come up. It felt good on my Margaret-ized quads.

Well it's a rainy, mopey and muggy day today. Let's make the best of it anyway!

Good morning!

Well, when it rains it pours - literally. We need a new washing machine as it is leaking from the bottom. When we built this house, the builder had a relationship with GE (based up here in Schenectady, NY) so all our appliances are GE. I.....HATE.....THEM. I hated them from the beginning as I don't think they are made well.

Well, the washer is leaking out of the bottom. I wasn't too freaked out until my husband saw water dripping in the basement - just a little but enough to make me lose my mind. We pulled out the washer, lined it with towels, etc. I cannot be without a washer because of our disabled cat. He does his business on wee wee pads - cloth ones - and they are washed every day with white vinegar and detergent. So today we go to buy a new washer.

Then, this morning - and this has been problematic for a while - there is a drip from the roof of our porch. I'm disappointed in the builder we had but, as my husband says, these are not multi million dollar homes. Doesn't matter to me - do the job right from the beginning. A pail suffices for now but early next year we will have a roofer come in and fix it once and for all.

So, I'm trying to remain calm and not stress out but stuff like this makes me nuts.

Yesterday we rode our bikes for 20 miles on a new part of the Empire State trail. Getting closer and closer to NYC! Only about 120 more miles to go to get there.

Anyway, that's all - and that's enough!

Pat - Wenchie is my avatar for VF - our friend, Gerry (who passed away in 2012 from a brain aneurysm) took the photo and then put it through photoshop. She was the great love of our lives. When I saw Zoey, I was floored - another gorgeous Maine Coon but not sweet like our girl. That's OK. She is who she is. I love yin yoga! You look like you had a productive workout day - good for you!

Summer Breeze - yep, not going to beat myself up for my lack of motivation, etc. We're both doing what we can do right now and that's really enough!

Donna - hang in there. Retirement comes around pretty fast and then we wish we were younger!

Hi Christina!!! Fibro sucks so I hope you have more good days than bad

That's about it - our contractor is coming this morning so we can plan the wood floors in the bedrooms and ask for suggestions for a generator install and a roofer. Have a great day everyone!

Hi all !!

Yesterday was:

50 minute outdoor walk

I walked to the P.O. and back yesterday.
It's always good to have a destination and different route. I'm hoping to walk today but not sure if the weather will cooperate.

PAT, you seem to be on a nice exercise roll lately. That quad stretch does sound lovely after some MR.

DIANE, we were cross-posting but wanted to say ugh on the leaks and house repairs. I'm wanting to be a renter more and more each day. Great bike ride!!

Hi DONNA, DIANE & CHRISTINA.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for being MIA yesterday, just got caught up in stuff - ugh!

So yesterday was:

CocoLime 30 min Full Body workout - this was ok. Not one I loved, her stuff is nice but I often find myself feeling like it wasn't enough. But I had been sleep deprived the night before so this was not a bad workout for when you are tired.

Outdoor walk w/ my Golden. Glad the weather is getting cooler for more outdoor walks w/ my doggie.

Today, so far, has been:

Lively Ladies - 20 Min Energizing Workout - it was really 30 min b/c she does a pretty thorough warm-up, she links to a separate cool down. I do appreciate the longer warm-ups and I have used her cool downs recently and they are good as well. At this "Lively" age I'm not able to bounce out of bed and get right to working out - I definitely appreciate the longer warm up

Trifecta Pilates - 25 Min Foundation workout. Beth/Trifecta is starting a new challenge tomorrow - 5 days, approx 30 min a day. I do like her stuff and I am almost positive I will be lulled into signing up for her site for a month. I do it all the time and then I don't use it. I do think if you want to focus on Pilates as the foundation for your exercise, her stuff is very good. But my issue is, I like Pilates more as a side dish or dessert. But, I'm sure I'll cave, LOL!

Anyway - sorry for the lack of personals, but I'm super busy at work...

Hope everyone has a good day!

Donna

Woo hoo, happy Friday!

Yesterday featured:

~ 15 butt bridges
~ pre-walk stretch warmup
~ walk at the casino
~ Rodney Yee Desk Yoga: Back Relieving Stretches
~ 7,000 steps for the day

I had a hair appointment last night. I'm going to try a demi-keratin treatment next time. The hair growing out of the crown of my head is impossibly frizzy - I'm starting to wonder if the reason is sun and weather damage from my outdoor walks? I'll have to see if there are hair sunscreens out there. Well, there's hats, but ... I hate having hat hair.

Donna, loving "lively age." I can hope! Good luck with your Trifecta Pilates challenge.

Good idea to switch up routes, Summer Breeze. Sometimes knowing you're going to go along the same old one makes it hard to get out the door.

Good morning to all!

Hi all !!

No workout or walk yesterday. The weather was crappy but there were a few opportunities to walk but I didn't pull the trigger fast enough I guess. Hoping to get out there today.

PAT, another nice workout day for you. I had a keratin treatment a couple of times a few years back and I loved it! I think walking in the hot sun all summer added a little more frizz to my hair too. Not a hat/hat hair lover either. Curious as to what a demi-keratin treatment is.

DONNA, nice variety.

Hi DIANE & CHRISTINA.

Have a wonderful day!
