Favorite weight lifting combo

This is a combination that may be hard to do since one of the videos is old and not available on dvd, but I found it to be a great combo so I'm posting it.

Yesterday I did Cory Everson's Hips, Thighs and Calves followed by Kathy Smith's Secrets to a Great Upper Body. They really go well together. Both are straightforward gym style workouts. Cory does 2 sets of 15 for the lower body and Kathy does 2 sets of 12 for the upper one. Both workouts do 2 exercises per muscle group. There are no pulsing reps, just straightforward gym style lifting. Both workouts have ab sections, but Kathy also adds in some lower back exercises. By the time I completed this combo I had exercised every major muscle group in my body. It contains a lot more lower body exercises than a total body workout from Cathe or Jari.

Each workout is 30 minutes long including the ab sections. If you leave one of them out it makes it slightly under an hour. I take longer though because I rest more between sets. My muscles get tired when I do this combo.

BTW, Amazon does have a copy of this Cory's w/o on vhs.

p.s. any ideas what combos would work with other 2 in the same series by Cory?

You could do half of Hips, Thighs and Calves with each of Cory's upper body workouts.

I love the whole set and like to do it as designed (as a three day split). I came up with this combo because I wanted a total body workout that was fairly low rep and paid more attention to the lower body.

The Kathy Smith Lower Body workout is good too, but I like Cory's approach a lot better. It's more like a gym workout.
