Thanks for the list! It's been an unusual summer, so I'm having trouble believing it's August.
Based on comments/reviews here, I decided to read a book by Adriana Trigiani. When I went looking, I found Lucia, Lucia in my library. I've really enjoyed it and feel like I understand what it's like to live in an American Italian family.

Laura, that is a good recommendation - I'm sure I would be able to relate given that my mom's side is Italian-American. I did pick up her book Very Valentine at a sale (also based on recommendations here!), so I'll read that sometime soon.

I'm about 3/4 through "Fellowship Point" which if I remember correctly was billed as a fun summer read. It was a little slow at first but I'm enjoying it!

You may see some of your family in the book. I'm not any part Italian, so it was all new to me. I hope you find it enjoyable.
