Fitness in Fiction-pure barre

I ordered the book "Some Women" by Emily Liebert from Amazon. Apparently the author is a Pure Barre instructor, and the three main characters in the book meet in a pure barre class I thought that was interesting.

The barre class was mentioned in one of the Amazon reviews. I don't think it was listed in the product description.

I've read other books by the author and liked them.

I downloaded it to my Nook last week just because it was written by a Pure Barre instructor and included a fitness element. I haven't had a chance to read it yet and I haven't read any of the author's other books so I'm glad you liked them.

Pure Barre has an article about it on their blog.

I am about half-way through it and am enjoying it. There hasn't been much discussion of the barre class though.

Another barre related book is Raising the Barre by Lauren Kessler - fun, fun, fun! True story of a 40's to 50 year old woman's determination to dance a part in the Nutcracker with a touring company. Barre3 classes play a large part in her getting in shape for the part.

How fun! I'll have to check those out. I read Primates of Park Avenue just because Physique 57 was mentioned in it!
