Nice to know!

I know this would be annoying for a lot of workouts (yoga, for instance), but I tend to just walk through the ads and it's mostly not a big deal.

Stephanie thanks for the hack. And Cyana for the adblocker.
I usually let the beginning ads play for the same reason (as long as they're no longer than 1 1/2 minutes or so; I don't have 4 minutes to waste, let alone 25 like some are! ). In one thread the other day I was just saying that I haven't really had this problem during workouts but apparently I jinxed myself. I was in a bad mood anyway and then during a 10 minute Dark Horse Rowing workout there were two ads and then during a 10 minutes LWR workout there were THREE! Honestly it was a battle of wills to workout today anyway and these stupid ads made me really want to give up. (I didn't, by the way, but I'm still in a bad mood, which my workouts should have helped!)

Yes, for me it is definitely most annoying in a yoga practice.

I’ve downloaded AdBlock and it does help, but doesn’t seem to completely eliminate the ads. I’m also going to try Stephanie’s hack.

I don't have enough followers on YouTube to qualify for ad revenue (I think you need over 1000?), but I think that this IS in fact how successful YouTubers generate revenue.

I'm never going to make any real money from YT, so I think even if I'm eligible some day, I'll keep the option turned off. Good news is that you should be able to do workouts from smaller YouTubers like me with no ads.

I wondered that too. One workout today I was using my phone and one was my laptop using Firefox.

Yes there is. For both android and IOS.

https://help.getadblock.com/support/...mobile-device-

I haven't installed it on my phone yet - that's still on the to do list.

You can also allow certain ads - particularly if you're interested in supporting a certain instructor (two related links):

https://getadblock.com/block-youtube-ads-with-adblock/

I don't work for AdBlock, I'm just a very average (mediocre) computer user who loves YT but not excessive ads. I'm good with the one at the beginning, but can't deal with the constant ads throughout a video.
