Paul Katami 4X4

Hi

I see that this system by Paul Katami is in Mary's sale for $49.99. I love his HIT 5 and 4X4 2dvd. Does anyone recommend me getting the set? I like his teaching style, but I was wondering if I can justify buying another system. I'm using Edge booty 2 at the moment for my main weight work and I thought this Paul Katami set might be a good addition as my cardio workouts. Any recommendations?

Get it! Im starting the Warrior phase today The athlete 2 workout was one of the best workouts I ever did, just love it.

I'm in my 3rd week and so far I love it! I got it on sale as well and I see it as being one of my best fitness purchases. I don't care for the rotation he recommends, but I came up with my own rotation. I see this as a set I can grow with.

Paul is awesome! His cueing and form pointers are excellent. His workouts are great and this is one you can grow with. It's worth it, especially if it's on sale!

Hi Tugger, how are you rotating the workouts? I'm not a fan of the rotation that came with the system either. TIA.

I'm still playing around with the rotation but so far I'm doing Disc 1 and Disc 2 each only once a week. I'm also doing a day of steady state cardio, and a day of yoga. That is my base. Currently I am also doing an all upper body day as I'm trying to increase my upper body strength and on another day I am doing a short cardio either walking or HiiT depending on how my body feels paired with about 30 minutes of floor work. My rotation is open to change. I also don't ever feel like I have to cram everything into a 7 day "week". Cathe once posted a response to someone and gave her an 8 day workout "week" plan. I did a Tone It Up rotation recently that pretty much had you working out 7 days a week so I made my week 9 days and felt great b/c I was able to stick to the rotation, it just took me a little longer. I lean towards having a Type A personality so this was a hard concept to grasp at first but once I did I found it very liberating and helped me actually become more Type A in some ways b/c now I am sticking to the rotation instead of throwing in the towel when I couldn't do everything as planned in the 7 day week.

After 4 weeks I'm going to move onto the next 2 discs.

Get it! Hands down my best purchase of the year. Here's a recent thread that contains what I did for a rotation, but it's flexible enough to work it in pretty much any schedule.

I came up with my own rotation as well, but I did halfsies. I did Sabine's rotation, but tweaked a bit:

Monday - I Am Change 1, blocks 1 & 2 + 10 minutes yoga
Tuesday - I Am Change 1, blocks 3 & 4+ 10 minutes yoga
Wednesday - Cardio of choice+ 10 minutes yoga
Thursday - I Am Change 2, blocks 1 & 2+ 10 minutes yoga
Friday - Cardio of Choice + 10 minutes yoga
Saturday - Total Body Strength Training
Sunday - Yoga

Then I would start the next week with I Am Change 2, blocks 3 & 4+ 10 minutes yoga and so on. Eventually, yoga moved to Mondays, and everything shifted down, but you get the idea. Honestly, I don't think I started having fun until I Am Athlete, but boy was it fun! I may have to revisit this set, as I didn't finish.

Tugger - thanks for sharing. I find my sweet spot is a 10 day schedule. I can get everything in that I want to do that way. Your schedule sounds good.

Pippadog - I have Katami 4x4 but have only done 1 workout and it was when I was in a major slump (I liked it though). I'm looking forward to trying the system soon.

I like ! Can you go to the menu and choose your block or do you have to skip forward or fast forward?
