Finished a stack of Drew Hayes stories, and I’ve now discovered Laurie King’s “Mary Russell” series. I’m a huge Sherlock (all manner) fan, so this is right up my alley.

I started reading Kristin Hannah’s Magic Hour yesterday and couldn’t put it down. It’s the first of hers I’ve read and I’ll definitely be looking into her others.

I also just received a very cheap used copy of Stitch n B*tch in the mail. It was listed as very good condition and it’s like a brand new book

I love Laurie King's Mary Russell series! I've also read several of her other books, which are quite good too. She has another series about a female detective and several stand alone novels.

This week, I've read All the Blood We Share by Camilla Bruce (based on the Bloody Benders, a family of serial killers in the old West) and The Personal Assistant by Kimberly Belle.

I just finished All Adults Here by Emma Straub. It was a like. I am now listening to Lucy by the Sea by Elizabeth Straut and LOVE this one. I like all her Lucy Barton books. OTher books I have read or listened to lately:

The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama (listened, fantastic!)
Alias Emma by Ava Glass (constant action, really enjoyed this one, read in print)
State of Terror by Louse Penny and Hilary Rodham Clinton (also constant action and really enjoyed...I alternated print and audio for this one).

I’m enjoying them. They were new to me, though apparently it’s an older series that’s still going? I hate getting sucked into ongoing (neverending) series.

I keep hearing that it's really good, but such a chonker.

Have been in a terrible reading slump for a few weeks, but just picked up Into Every Generation a Slayer is Born by Evan Ross Katz, about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and its fandom. I loved Buffy when it first aired but have few specific memories of the show, and of course was appalled when the stuff about Joss Whedon came out, and he is supposed to address that. Naturally, this has triggered a rewatch of the show.

I'm reading The Jane Austen Society. It started off a little slow but now is coming together more. I chose it in memory of my MIL who died in July.

Started Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult. One of my sisters recommended it.

Just started actor Sam Heughan's (Outlander fame) memoir called "Waypoints" about his Scottish journey. It's very good!
