Kathy Kaehler's step workouts are very simple, easy choreography. My favorite is "Workout Class"-it's a half hour step broken into 2 15 minute sections followed by really quick push ups and a stretch.

These are easier (and older) than most:

Jane Fonda's Step Aerobic (and Abs) Workout
Kelli Roberts' Ultimate Step Workout
Kathy Smith's Great Buns and Thighs Step Workout
Gin Miller Step Reebok The Video
Denise Austin Step Workout featuring Reebok Step

Good luck!

This is my fav - old and only on VHS but led by Gin Miller and it includes hand weights if you want some upper body work while stepping. It's not a separate weight section. Love it!

The old vhs tapes are great for simple, easy to follow workouts. It was considered dangerous to do all the hoping ,jumping crazy stuff that we now take for granted as regular stepping. If you can use vhs, you are golden! I even have an old Richard Simmons step tape that is a good workout and hilarious!

Just adding my 2 cents worth:

- Charlene Prickett's With Every Step - has two 30 min workouts that are what I would call advanced beginner/low intermediate as far as complexity.
- Kari Anderson's Go
- Cathe's Basic Step and Low Impact Step are both quite easy to follow

I like a good cardio workout, but don't like complex dancey choreography. These fit the bill nicely for me as you can keep them low or ramp them up, your choice.

I love Gin's "Step Reebok the Video", too. I feel evil when I do it. I also love both Jane Fonda's step workouts. Even though they are old, they are sentimental favorites of mine and I hope they get put on DVD like she says they are.

How about Gin Miller Simply Step? Her Intense Moves also has very basic choreography but the intensity is up there. I have only done Simply Interval Short & Sweet but from what I remember, this one has basic choreography too!

Gams and I have identical taste.
Those are my faves, too.

Gin Miller has something called Step Reaction.
It is just a short little step workout, but she has it in four speeds.

It is Gin at her Ginnest, meaning she is amusing, informative, the workout is deceptively simple.

Really nice for those days you want to do a little something something and then you decide just how much you want to put into it.

I wrote a review about it here http://www.videofitness.com/reviewsd...ew.php?id=3644

So if you decide to get some Gin, this is a cheapie little thing that you can throw in.

I'll give a second thumb's up to this. I do it quite frequently as an add-on. It goes fast, easy stepping, and fun. I actually get a really good calorie burn with it, too--I do the fastest BPM. It was super cheap and completely worth it!
