Is buti considered kundalini?

I'm just wondering with the breath work involved?

Thanks

I haven't done buti, but from what I've read & seen in clips, there is no similarity to kundalini at all in the movements. There could be some kundalini influence in the breath, but then there's also a strong tradition of breathwork in hatha yoga - you just usually don't see it on DVDs.

I have seen some Kundalini-esque warmups in a couple of the online Buti videos.

Bizzie (and more rarely, Kristina) occasionally does fire breath.

Buti yoga is NOT kundalini yoga. Kundalini yoga is much, much more than just breathing.

Similar spinal roll warmups and cyclical/repetitive movements throughout (I have done some live Buti classes & also kundalini live classes & DVDs). I think she borrowed liberally from kundalini and whatever else served her. I've never seen her publicly state where -- or if -- she earned her yoga (or any) teaching certification before she started teaching what became Buti. But it's likely that she took some kundalini classes at some point, plus maybe pulled from Tari Rose's Hard Body Yoga.

Ooooh, how were the live classes? Are the similar to the online workouts? (sorry for the OT)
