Seated upper body workouts

My mom fell and hurt her hip while she was here visiting. After several x-rays that showed nothing, a CT scan finally showed a small hip fracture. The orthopedic surgeon told her she won’t need surgery as long as she stays off that leg. She has some very light weights and would like to do some seated upper body exercises. I think Leslie Sansone’s Shortcuts for the Upper Body is mostly seated, but are there any others?

Susan Tuttle's Chair workout are good, and she's very enthusiastic.

Curtis Adams is very likeable and is a good motivator! His workouts are on Amazon or YouTube.

Tracie Long (Platinum Fitness for Seniors), Karen Voight (Ease into Fitness and Angie Miller (Absolute Beginners Cardio and Strength Training for Seniors) also have workouts for seniors, that can be done seated.

Anne Pringle Burnell
(Stronger Seniors) is popular on Amazon, as is Mary Ann Wilson's (Sit and Be Fit.)

Sue Grant's Older Wiser Workouts (Easy Does it) might work. It has an upper and lower body segment.

another option for your mom are resistance bands to offer variety with the light weights.

Fab 50s on you tube has lots of chair exercises

RevX has chair exercises.

Look up the chair exercises for seniors on YouTube. Total fitness Dvds has chair exercises.

Jodi Stolove Chair Dancing Series
there are lots of titles, but I like Simply stretch, and the Chair Yoga one very much. Some of the chair dancing ones are long and really hurt my legs so I do a shortened version

Susan Tuttle
I really like her. my favorites are
Arthritis Chair Exercises
chair resistance band 2 -there are 2 sessions 30 minutes each on these. The second one has standing but are easy to adapt.
Jane Adams
Yoga for Seniors has a nice yoga flow seated

My new favorites are joy Prouty and Josie Gardiner
Flexible Seniors 1 -nice easy chair workout and a second chair workout that is peppier, I do them both for a nice hour of easy going workout

I like Karen Voight- she does have some standing, again you can skip or do a seated version

Tracie long has standing and floor work and I find that dv quite slow and dull

Stott pilates has Armchair Pilates which is quite a good workout for the upper body

Debbie Seibers has a Body Dynamix disc with Basic Strength and take a seat workouts that are chair workouts.

Bobby -it's all heart series are great- the first one has a chair option, not the second one

Smile and Sway is very fun by Gina B

Sue Grant is a talker but I like Eve very much who does the chair version on the olde and wiser series

Curtis Adams is a fun instructor and works the old people hard, lol

all of these series are on dvd and maybe at your library or senior center

You might want to look at Pahla B workouts on You Tube. There are several that use light weights along with seated cardio moves. Paul Eugene on You Tube has a few seated with weights too.

I forgot to list Sherry Zak Morris. When I was feeling down and out her yoga dance workouts and her regular chair workouts always cheered me up.
there is a 7 day free trial for her site:https://watch.yogavista.tv/catalog

There are so many new instructors on her site that you can try! I especially like Vibrant Aging with Tatis. If I couldn't do anything much , I could do that one.

If streaming is an option - Senior Shape on YouTube and Silver & Fit on YouTube have some chair workouts. Silver & Fit has tons of workouts - you might scroll the beginner ones and see what looks appealing.
