Had no idea you burn more calories in a convertible! :D

Oops, I posted a link to that one too. I'll delete my thread if I can.

I had to read it twice before I decided it wasn't satire.

Oh my gawd. Strengthening your biceps equals your body parts getting into abusive relationships? She *invented* dance cardio?!

I guess I'll echo what many, many VFers have already said (I only recently started trying out TA workouts) - I do like her stuff on DVD, but these claims just really make me want Mr. Rolly-eyes right now.

?! x's 10.

I can't believe she actually said #5. . .Regardless of how one feels about her, your eyebrows have to raise on that one.

Big muscles are bad and big biceps gives you flabby tris? Has she ever seen Cathe?

I thought the same thing! I've heard of so many people tweaking their bodies doing HER workouts. At the same time, my mom just twisted her ankle walking on a flat surface. Doesn't make walking bad for you. Anything can be dangerous if you use improper form or aren't paying attention to what you're doing.

This really does seem like it's supposed to be read with humor. Either that or the folks at Well & Good left out A LOT of context.

I can burn calories in a convertible, but not by driving it ;)

Ooh, ooh, you must mean by waxing it, right? :D

Yes, to all of that, PLUS, I can't think of anyone MORE "boutique fitness practice" than TA (the term seems to have been coined FOR her). AND, kettlebells are not a "trend". They may be popular right now and trendING, but they've been around for -- someone correct me if I'm wrong :p -- a bajillion years.

I've stopped being surprised by the things that come out of TA's mouth, though. :(

(I do not think was meant to be satirical, comical, tongue-in-cheek or anything other than dead serious. For anyone who has ever heard TA talk or read any of the other interviews she has given, this is all familiar territory.)

Every Tracy Anderson article ever:

Part 1: Claim that Anderson consults/works with doctors and scientists or implication that her system is scientifically validated in some way.

Part 2: Laundry list of ridiculous and unsupportable claims.

How is she still a thing?
