I went to the library today and picked up Stephen King's Later; I started reading it immediately and like it so far (although I know some here didn't like the ending). I also picked up Meg & Jo and the most recent (I think) Hannah Swenson novel, Coconut Layer Cake (maybe this will be the one that finally makes me swear off the series, LOL). I'm also reading Pat Conroy's memoir-ish My Reading Life.

I just finished The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz.

Today I read Death At Daylesford by Kerry Greenwood, no. 21 in the Phryne Fisher murder mystery series (and the first one since 2014!). A fun read. :)

I just finished American baby : a mother, a child, and the shadow history of adoption and am starting Yearbook, by Seth Rogan, today. I don't even know who Seth Rogan is, but the book got good reviews so I guess I'll find out soon. :p

Finished reading The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren which was fun. Then read The Chicken Sisters which was okay enough. Currently reading The Elephant in the Room which i think is really good.

Also tried to read The Huntress by Kate Quinn because I have heard so much about her books. This was the only one my library had at the time. It is a LONG book and I had such a hard time getting into it. Story concept was good but it just didn’t grab me. I finally gave up about 140 pages in which was probably still only 1/3 the way through.

I must be in a slump again. I can't seem to find anything that's holding my interest. Trying to read The Other Emily by Dean Koontz and struggling with it. There are two others I'm going back and forth with but am not excited about either!

When this happens to me, I usually end up finding a tv series to binge instead. Then, when that's finished, I'm back to the books. ;)
