There is a web site called http://www.headspace.com and you can subscribe to it for daily meditations (I'm up to doing 20 minutes a day!).

The first 10 days of 10 minute meditations are free. The can be downloaded to your computer or from an app on iPads, iPhones, and Droids.

Thanks for the links Alta!

I agree thread idea!

Omvana is a great app that has many free downloads music and verbal and they have a mixer feature so you can mix any music mediation to a verbal mediation.

Also, the library has lots of good downloads.

If you don't mind a Buddhist bent, Dharma Seed has wonderful talks and meditations:

www.dharmaseed.org

Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield have quite a few talks and meditations on there. It's a free site, but you can make donations if you wish.

This is so very timely and helpful to me. I've never done meditation before and my sister has been encouraging me to do so. She took classes. I don't think there are any classes where I live. I was about to order a DVD and was not sure where to start. This thread is great. Thank you. :)
