PiYo -- Results? Have You Tried It?
Thinking about PiYo, just wondered if anyone has lost weight with that, and what you think about it if you have tried it.

PiYo is one of those things I want to like but in practice I don't like all that well. I think it moves too fast and it's too hard for me to know what I'm supposed to be doing, but I wanted to tell you that if you get into it, it seems there are a fair number of random instructor PiYo workouts on youtube. Some more easy to follow than others.

piyo is hard. it took me a while to catch on to just the first few videos. it was difficult to watch the tv and do the moves at the same time so i felt that i needed to spend time previewing the workouts and practicing the moves, despite doing the intro video a bunch of times. i dont have time for that so i get the dvds out, try one or two, put them away, repeat.

I had the Beachbody set. Did it and traded it. The workouts seemed to range from beginner to moderate intermediate. They weren't pilates and weren't yoga - I like both but somehow they weren't enough of either for me. The various lengths were both good and bad although harder to schedule the rest of my workouts around. I did like the glute workout but didn't think that alone would do enough. I also remember a lot of sun salutations.

Michelle Briehler on YouTube has Piyo workouts posted and a great variety of other workouts too. Here’s a beginner workout https://youtu.be/s3RwBLmLZRc
I’ve never done any Piyo workouts or this one so I can’t say how they compare. Jane |

I have always had an interest in trying this set so I bought it from Mary at Total Fitness. I will let you know what I think once I try it.

I agree with buffmama that they're not really yoga and not really pilates. They do vary in length but I enjoyed the Beachbody set. I did the set once thru (and not in the rotation) but with other things so can't speak to results tied to the set.
However, they can be wrist and shoulder intensive at times. I had to use my bosu balance pods for some of the workouts to give my wrists a break. |

Well, that's really helpful information about the wrists!
