That's my not working my biceps much and then going full overload yesterday. But I did like that workout -- Sue, you're right -- it's a really great workout without feeling beat up later. I think what I may do is rotate through ART, Callanetics, and Hilliard for a while. I've been doing the other two for a few weeks. I hope that's not too much of a mish-mosh because I like that variety. Every time I do any of them I think "I love this so much -- it makes me feel great -- maybe I should just do this" but then I want the variety.
I hope you're OK! Your combo sounds great. I'm so like you, I've been doing barre 3 classes at the studio, but loving HSM and it's so much cheaper than my classes, I'm debating about stopping them....

So many workouts, so little time...

I'm sure I'm fine -- just might not do any biceps moves so soon. Yes, so many workouts!!!

ETA: it's so much fun to be so excited about specific workouts again -- it's been a while.....

I haven't in several weeks. I just don't have time. I'm really trying to be better about my movement on a daily basis than stringing together workouts or doing an "add on." I've been doing HSM and my barre3 studio classes for the most part.

It doesn't look like you can preview any of the dvds on their site. Is that true?

I saw enough by searching Hilliard Studio Method and watching their channel on YouTube

So, I just previewed these on YouTube and they do look good. A question though about the planks and pushups. Do they give modifications for these? I don't love a ton of planking and pushups - lately my shoulders are getting more sensitive to these. I love the look of the other parts of the workout though so maybe I could focus more on those sections?

They give a ton of modifications. If memory serves, in the beginner one they also give options on how to progress in your pushups to do them straight legged.

Although as I'm reading your question, there aren't options other than the planks and pushups, just how to modify those specific movements. In my barre class though, they always suggest if you need to modify a plank or pushup to go to the barre, so you could always just go to a higher surface or even the wall to modify.

Thanks Sue. I can do some planks and pushups - just not a ton of them, and if there are modifications for those, all the better. So, I've been enabled once again and will sign up for the free trial.
