I'm a long-time Prime member. I used to recommend Prime all the time. We bought almost everything from Amazon!

Since they started using the the USPS for more and more deliveries, I'm no longer a fan. I rarely get packages in two days anymore. Our postal carrier is useless and we end up having to drive over to the PO to pick up packages.

I've had items lost, mis-delivered and delayed so many times. We even found one of my packages by the side of the road to our home! Amazon has given me money, credits, refunds and has extended my Prime membership for a month seven times for free.

We don't have much luck with OnTrac or FedEx either. UPS is the best in our area.

I still think Amazon is good, but the changes made since before the holidays may make me reconsider membership. The "Add-On" program, the hike in Free Shipping and the higher One-Day Shipping fee are not good.

We are "supposed" to get Sunday delivery in our area. Of about a half a dozen items were should have received on a Sunday ("Guaranteed Delivery"), all but one arrived on Monday or later. Really a joke here.

I already received a Prime delivery last Sunday, in my mailbox. Ironically they're talking about getting rid of Saturday mail delivery. So Amazon might soon have weekend mail to itself!

I have been a Prime member since the beginning. I always get my packages in two days or less, so maybe it's a matter of location. I almost never get them by USPS either. We order everything from Amazon and also use the free streaming shows a lot! I will continue to pay for Prime; it more than pays for itself in this household.

The shipping speed seems really dependent on location Living out in the sticks, things are bad here and getting worse.

That reminds me of another reason I may not renew. Our satellite internet connection is SO SLOW (plus there are bandwidth limits) that we can't stream or download movies or shows. I don't own a Kindle, so the free lending library is of no use. The only thing that was really worth the fee was the 2-Day shipping.

SO, if the shipping is going to suck, it will be hard to find a reason to renew.

I get packages quickly too! I ordered a Ballet Beautiful dvd last week around 5pm and received it the following day. I was shocked! I received something else the following day but I can't remember what it was.
