I have a friend who is into Qi Gong, yoga, meditation, is an acupuncturist and seems to generally be at peace. Then she told me she loves football. She finds it relaxing
I found this for some nice relaxing/meditation background: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJu...Thk2RpALASyXVQ

Haha! Last year some games were so intense I swear my dog even got antsy!

My husband cannot understand how I enjoy watching ER and This is Us. Both shows are very intense, but I can escape into them. It takes my mind off the real world.

I've been watching St. Elsewhere on Hulu and that really brings back memories! I haven't seen any of those shows since it went off the air--some 30 years ago, maybe? Donna

I think that's a lot of it, the escape from reality for a while. There's also a sense of connection with other fans, whether it's sports or TV shows.

Alta wishing you a peaceful demeanor as you approach your surgery. I decided not to make myself daily reading assignments but just keep the reading segments and check them off as I do them with a 3x a week goal. It was starting to not feel like another daily obligation. I don't need any more of those. As soon as I let myself just do as I wanted, it felt more refreshing.

Donna, I loved St. Elsewhere! I should start watching that. It would seem new since I have not seen it in so long. I remember a few storylines. I remember really liking Dr. Morrison. I really disliked the ending of the series, though.
I watched it on the little black and white tv I had in my room as a teenager. I have passed on most other medical shows aside from ER and New Amsterdam. I cannot get used to the very modern hospital set on New Amsterdam, though.

Sigh, I had a bit of an emotional tailspin the other day. I received a summons for jury duty.
I admit to being extremely paranoid about Covid. I've pretty much hidden in my home for many months. I haven't been to the market (we do grocery pick-up), or Trader Joe's or any public restrooms or seen family in person. Now, they expect me to be locked up with 30 or 40 people who, judging by what I see locally, think the virus is a hoax and do not adhere to any of the safety guidelines. The numbers are still bad in our area. I got a postponement until December. Holy cow, I'm almost 65 and I'm supposed to get in a crowd? Why don't they just call in the 20-something Spring Breakers? Or, the 30 to 40-somethings who can't stop touching each other? End of rant!

Thanks, Linda.
I was listening to Chalene's podcast this morning. It was the episode about negative people. She said something that really struck me and for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I am hoping I will remember so I can come back and post it!
