Happy New Year all! Thanks for starting us off T2B. I think I am going to have to work my brain a little to remember that it is now 2024!

I ran 45 min on the mill yesterday and today went to Burn for Speed and Agilty.
That’s always lots of fun. Boy the class was huge. Thank goodness they got a state of the art ventilation system when Covid hit and today they had all the doors open since it was not too cold.

I be will catch up on yesterday’s posts.

Have a lovely day.

Happy New Year everyone!

I couldn't get into the forum yesterday. I kept getting the 'server is too busy message' and gave up after a couple of tries.

Karjoy - I always do Tabatacise in its entirety since I got it. It is tough but doable. BTW, DH and I watched Oppenheimer last night on DVD and it was really good. We are going to watch the beginning of it again tonight as we felt it was a little confusing. There was a short documentary on the DVD about the life of Oppenheimer that explained some of his thinking and it was really good too. I can imagine him being really torn the rest of his life over the creation of the bomb. It was cool to see all the famous physicists of the day in the movie.

T2B - I just love the music in Tabatacise. How did you like season 3 of C. B. Strike? I thought it was a really good one.

Vannie, Gibbee, Cher - I hope you had a good New Year.

Waves to everyone. Have a good day.

I had the 10 PM slot in the VF exercise marathon. I did Yoga With Shaunneka New Year Seated Yoga Stretch: A Reflective Wrap Up. I did some extra stretching while I watched the intro for Yoga with Adriene's new challenge and a 2-min dolphin pose hold while I listened to the intro for Devi Daly's new challenge.

We played games last night, with lots of laughing and food, and then watched a couple more episodes of Scorpion before going to bed at 3:30. I slept in till 9 this morning.

My workout yesterday was a hike with DH at a state park in the morning and Xtrain Burn Sets Biceps & Triceps.

Vannie- sounds like you had a nice New Year. I can't imagine going to bed at 3. Even on NYE we couldn't make it till midnight.

Waves to all.

Hey guys. Just tried to post a few minutes ago and I got a message that the server was busy twice. Hmmm..

Resting today. I had worked out 7 days in a row and I usually take 1-2 days off a week and it caught up to me.

Vannie so cool for you to participate in the VF exercise marathon! I think you do it every year right? I wonder who in the world does the 3 and 4 am slots!? Glad you had a nice New Year celebration. Are you considering rotations?

Jbliff you have inspired me to do Tabatacize this year, working up to the whole thing. I knew you would like Oppenheime. I plan to watch it again to get more details and learn more about the characters.

T2B what rotations do you have planned?

Waves to Cher and Gibbee.

No workouts today, was running around town and did a little shopping then started an afghan for my cousin's baby (finally).

JB, 3:30 was late for me too, but I usually don't go to bed till around 1 anyway.

Karen, I try to do the marathon every year. Last year I didn't get to bc I was in IN for my great-uncle's funeral, came home on NY Day and then was sick with some kind of stomach bug for a few days. But I think that's the only year I missed since I started doing it. Those early morning time slots are usually taken by VFers in Australia and Europe. I'm starting some new challenges this month but also still need to finish all the others I have started! I'm sure they won't all be done by the end of the month but I'd like to start a Cathe rotation in February.

My workout yesterday was Gloved Up & Sweaty. I used 1-lb weighted gloves and it definitely upped the intensity. The workout is growing on me. I actually like it now. I noticed there is no music louder option anymore on Cathe's newer workouts.

Karjoy
- There are quite a few extras in the Oppenheimer DVD. We watched "The Making of Oppenheimer" and it was really interesting too. Christopher Nolan is a really creative director. I've liked so many of his movies like Tenet, Inception and Memento.

Vannie - Which Cathe rotation are you thinking to start?

T2B
- How is life back at work?

Waves to everyone. Have a great day.

I tried posting this morning, before work, but kept getting that server busy message.

Yesterday was a rest day. I did LMC: Combat Kick Start this morning.

Karjoy - I think I’m going to do a generic version of Cathe’s April 2022 rotation.
HiiT
PHA
Kickbox
Metabolic
Steady state cardio
Total Body heavy weights
Rest or yoga/stretch.

JB - The music in Tabatacise is nice. Sounded like a lovely hike. Gloved Up & Sweaty is growing on me too. Seemed like the 3rd time was the charm. I’m going to add Oppenheimer to my watch list, I may have to watch in blocks, it’s a long movie.. I love the Christopher Nolan movies you mentioned, except I’ve never seen Memento. I love Interstellar as well. Gosh, we all hate being back in the office, 3 days a week is a bit much!

Vannie - never heard of Scorpion, what is it about?

40 minute walk after work today. It was cold and sprinkling rain but I felt a real need to get outdoors and I’m glad I did.

I will definitely get the Oppenheimer DVD with the extras Jbliff. Another thing I loved about the move was seeing the diffference between the theory folks and the engineering, practical types who figure out how to make the theories work in real life. I also found it fascinating that not all physicists are great at math! I guess it takes a village.

T2B that sounds like a well rounded rotation! What would you use for steady state cardio?

Vannie do tell about your possible Cathe rotation!
