Ya, one time there was a thread raving about P90. It went on and on with glowing raves. I stepped in and said that since we were in Collage's forum (house), that perhaps touting a workout they don't sell wasn't appropriate. I got slammed. This was back in the days of the old forums. You didn't see your posts until the day after you wrote them. It was maddening how Collage would censor some things but not others. I always thought my posts were picked on. I suggested someone look for a discounted price of a step at garage sales or eBay. Collage cut out "eBay". Gawd, I hated that place (Collage's forums). Now it's better.

Anyway, I'm glad Collage took action on your review, Naturallove. Maybe they didn't feel the need to offer an apology. Perhaps to do so would have been admitting guilt for placing the review themselves. I'm not saying they did or didn't. My personal feeling is that it was a Lalo fan or staff member.

I'll bet this happens more often than you think. I see many Amazon reviews pop up on other sites as well. Maybe some people are taking the time to post their reviews all over the net, but if they were honest reviews to begin with I'd say there was plagiarizing going on, from parties with definite vested interests.

I had someone copy my description that I wrote up for one of my eBay sales. I emailed the seller to complain and his reply was that my sale was doing so good, he thought he'd use the same text, it was so good.

Don't know if that was a compliment or not and my item sold, so I didn't pursue it, but c'mon people, be creative and think of something yourself!

Naturallove, I'm glad Collage took down the faux review so quickly. Awfully weird though, that it happened at all. I can kind of see why Collage didn't apologize as they have no way of determining original content on reviews. Still, the polite thing to do is to apologize for the inconvenience to the person.

Word for word..I'm serious! Even copied the exact same font and color I used, and the same formatting. I had to look twice because I thought I had mistakenly listed it twice until I noticed the seller's name.

I remember reading many, many large companies have stolen people's pictures right off flickr for advertisements. I guess they figured it's easy, they don't have to pay for a photographer, and most people would never come to see their own picture. Of course, a lot of people did.

Back to the OT, this is upsetting to me and gives me pause (again) for putting stuff online. Sad.

I've had clients ask me and my associates to plant positive reviews on Amazon for their products. They don't seem to grasp that it's not an ethical thing to do, nor that they'll end up with a bigger PR disaster if (when) they get caught then just having put out a mediocre product in the first place

ETA: for the record, I have always refused to do it!

This is just bizarre! I thought it was nuts when someone suggested that it could have been someone from Lalo's camp; however, after reading that they removed the negative criticism, I think that it was someone from Lalofit. That's really sad and makes them look bad.

Someone from Collage wouldn't have a need to copy and paste a great review for this one video. It just doesn't make sense.
