Total Max Mixers - Week of April 11

Hi everyone. My workout yesterday was a walk with DH in the morning and Rev'd Up Rumble + AM Yoga Hip Openers in the afternoon.

Cher - I do between 45-75 minutes of stretching or yoga a week (depending on how tight I feel), not including any stretches that are included in a workout, so it's not that much of a time commitment. However, I find just that little bit of extra stretching helps a lot.

We'll probably hit 80 degrees today. I can't believe how nice the weather is for early April! DH already went kayaking on the river with a neighbor last week.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Thanks for starting us off JBliff.

Drive by: 45 min minute treadmill run today and yesterday I did most of the standing portion of Body Weight and Bands. Modified a little on some the lunges etc. Felt I got a decent light strength workout to get back in the game.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Back to report my workouts or lack of the. Saturday was LITE Pyramid Pump Upper Body Up Pyramid and Extended Stretch #2. Then later in the afternoon, I went for about a 25 minute walk outside. Yesterday was 2 very short walks...probably only totally about 30 minutes.

I’ve been wearing my glasses since Thursday for my up coming eye doctor appointment this Thursday. I can’t see well enough to drive with my glasses on and it is seriously making me crazy and crabby! I just can’t wait for this appointment to get here and be done so I can wear my contacts again!

JBliff - Thanks for starting us off. I think I’m going to have to try something lung your stretching plan and try to add a little extra in and see how it goes. It sounds like I can handle that.

Karen - Good workout to get back into working out.

Vannie - Thanks for the links. I will check them out.

Hi all. My workout yesterday was ICE Lower Body Blast + abs + 20 minutes on the elliptical.

Cher - I feel for you! It's no fun not to be able to see well.

Karjoy - Looking at your avatar picture really brings home that spring is finally here. The trees here are all blooming but of course DH is really suffering from allergies to all the pollen!

Hi to everyone. Have a great day.

Workout yesterday was Jenny Ford’s Massachusetts Walk and the lower body portions and stretch of Cathe’s Push Pull. During the stretch portion I hit pause so I could hold the hit stretches longer.

JBliff - Nice workouts.

Just saying hello. I knew this week would be a tough one but I just don't feel like chatting. Yesterday was my parents' anniversary, today is a year since my mom went into the hospital and tmrw is a year that she's been gone. I feel so guilty that I'm at home instead of with my dad for this.

Sunday I made myself do a 30 minute Leslie. Yesterday I did Kassandra's AM yoga day 6, Jill's feet & ankles 10 min quick fix, Caroline's HHT exercises, Helen's piriformis exercises, ran 1.2 mi in the cold wind (it was a compromise btwn doing the planned 10k session and nothing) and finished with Helen's post-run routine. Sounds like a lot but each thing was under 15 min.

I am thinking of you Vannie and sending virtual hugs and peaceful thoughts.

Cher I feel for you having to wear your glasses. I am horribly nearsighted and wearing glasses is not the same as contacts. Are you having LASIK surgery? I forgot. I agree with Jbliff that extra stretching is truly worth the little time it takes.

Jbliff we are pollen city down here too. This part of Florida is miserable during allergy season for many people. Right now it is grass pollen. I am getting upset again about our Covid numbers. Over 8,000 new Florida cases yesterday with a positivity rate > 8%. And now the J+J vaccine is out. And of course mask wearing is declining....Sigh

I ran 4.5 miles this am with Heather and Caroline. It was a lovely 53 degrees.

Night all.

Thank you, Karen. I appreciate it. It's funny that you said that about contacts vs glasses. I'm so nearsighted they can't get contacts strong enough for me to see clearly. I gave up. I still have some that I can wear hiking and snowshoeing but I don't feel confident driving in them. I ended up getting prescription sunglasses finally and love them so at least I can protect my eyes. Did you see the YouTube links I posted at the end of last week?

Workout yesterday was Perfect Pump Upper Body skipping a few exercise that I felt were overkill for me.

Vannie - ((Hugs)) Thinking of you. Do you know what your contact prescription would be because my eyes are horrible and they can still get them for me. My left eye is -13.00 and my right eye is -13.50, My right eye is actually worse than that but they have my prescription slightly lowered so I use that eye more for reading. My glasses would be even higher than that because your prescription is always lower with contacts. My current glasses are only -11.00 or something so needless to say, I’m not seeing the best out of them.

Karen - I have a cataract on one eye but since my prescription for my glasses and contacts is VERY strong in the first place, my eye doctor wanted me to go see a specialist about having cataract surgery. Supposedly, if they can do it, I may not have to wear glasses or contacts when they are done. We’ll see what they say tomorrow. Our Covid cases were 8000+ something yesterday here too. Apparently they were distributing the vaccine in the beginning like they were because there was not enough to send to a bunch of locations. I guess that makes sense.
