Sherry, almost every time I thought of a channel to add, it was already on your list! But here are a few:

The Yoga Ranger - yin yoga
Yoga with Olga - alignment-oriented therapeutic yoga
Baxter Bell Yoga - shorter sequences; focus on yoga for aging
YogaBody - offers Yoga Sequence of the Day
YogaJP - accessible yoga (chair yoga, aging, etc.)
Carin Baginski - yoga for medical conditions (e.g. thyroid)
Daily Bandha - short clips with yoga alignment tips

Beth-thanks for adding!

Do you know how to get this thread made into a sticky? Thank you!

Sherry

ETA: I did not post links because whenever I log out of my you tube account I have trouble getting back in.

You'd have to ask one of the GD mods to make a sticky; they might prefer to move to another area though.

I would love if you could make this into a sticky - I have started recently getting into yoga and have only just begun to dabble with youtube on it (so far, Yoga with Adrienne).

This is great - so much stuff for me to check out!

Thanks, Sherry. It really helps on YouTube to have recommendations. That place can be overwhelming in a search on a broad general topic like yoga.

I assume all of these have a decent amount of free content and not just teasers for paid streaming?

Which do you think are the best sites for a yoga beginner? For someone with injuries or limits needing modification?

Some I would recommend:

YogaJP - offers chair yoga and other modifications
YogaTx - offers therapeutic yoga
Yoga with Olga - offers alignment-oriented therapeutic yoga
Baxter Bell Yoga - focus on yoga for older adults but accessible for anyone
Yoga with Kassandra - choose from beginners yoga classes
Yoga with Adriene - choose foundations of yoga
SarahBeth Yoga - choose beginners yoga

Thanks, Beth. That's a nice list to start with.

I've been doing studio Pilates for years but some old injuries resurfacing combined with increasing hand arthritis and no good studio available where I am now makes Pilates a problem. And I don't know the moves or form in yoga. I'm finding, despite all of the Pilates, I need to start with more beginner, gentler routines. Kind of like I've always recommended to newcomers to Pilates no matter how long they've exercised or how advanced they are in other areas.
