Anyone tried these yet? What did you think? SB's FB page is filled with glowing reviews, so I'm sure I'm the minority on my first impressions.
In my mind her stretching is always more advanced. Barre3 and others are more accessible.

Mine came yesterday and I did two of these this morning. First, I did the Barre Power Stretch from Disc 1. I really liked it and didn't feel that it was advanced at all. I am 66 and am probably intermediate at best and I had no problem doing anything she did. Then I did the relaxation stretch from Disc 2 and liked it too. It was very nice and definitely relaxing. I'll do more tomorrow.

This was a great buy (I got it with the Amazon $9.95 special deal)!

Karen - you've probably given a better picture of the DVD than I did. I'm sure my knee limitations/frustrations clouded my judgement.

I'll definitely give it a try tomorrow. Regardless of my opinion, the price was a GREAT deal.

Not better, just different. I'll be interested to hear your opinion once you try it tomorrow and, of course, other opinions as more people try it.

I hope your knee limitations are gone soon!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Is there any other DVD you could compare it to? Is it mostly yoga, or a more athletic approach? Would it be good (gentle enough) for a recovery day? TIA.

I feel the same way - I find Suzanne's stretching routines generally very advanced. I'm not sure why she never has someone showing less advanced stretches, although she does sometimes cue in layers.

Sadly I seriously doubt I'll get a lot of use out of this DVD.

Is it like the stretches in her older DVDs? I generally didn't care much for her stretching style back then, but I could use some really deep stretches if anyone would like to make some kind of trade or something.
I am one that basically stays in beginnerish mode on everything else, but I need really deep stretches to feel them, atleast in the lower half and low back. My spine and shoulders have no flexibility whatsoever tho.

The Barre Power Stretch segment is a lot of barre exercises with some stretches (I think more athletic-like stretches). There were balancing moves mixed in. The Relaxation Stretch segment was pretty slow moving with some yoga-ish moves. It's only 13 minutes long but I got pretty relaxed during that time. She did some stretches for the feet at the beginning.

I'll be doing more of these tomorrow morning.

Thank you Karen, very helpful!
