Tell me why I SHOULDN'T buy PIYO...

No sooner than I think I've talked myself out of this... I'm back to being interested again. Help a woman out: tell me why I'd absolutely hate PIYO. That way, when it catches my attention again, I can just pull up this thread and reread it.

I'll start:
Alison, you DON'T like sun salutation-type flows. I bet PIYO does a lot of that, with the down dog-plank-up-and-down-mess...

Sorry can't help you out, it is a great set!

But yes it does have sun salutations and down dogs, planks, etc., so if you hate them you might hate PIYO.

I felt like a lot of the workouts were too similar and bothered my wrists (and I don't have wrist issues with yoga). I have a few "go to" athletic/power yoga workouts I'd rather just use than have a whole system.

It does have some sun salutations, but since I've actually started following the rotation I haven't found one? It must be in the later DVDs.

I initially thought they were too similar, but again, now that I'm following the rotation I think they're pretty different.

But yeah, you'll hate it, so hard pass

The only thing that bothers me about it is that I have to slow down and focus, I'm such a cardio-lover (dance, specifically) that getting through a PiYo workout is a challenge for me because my attention span can't handle that pace anymore!

This is what kept my from caring about this set.
That, and I find Chalene and her 'hipness' irritating (and yes, I'm aware that she's less "Chalene" in this set but I'm afraid it's too late for that - my opinion has been formed).

Totally OT, but didn't you buy the hooping set recently? Did you like it? I'm kind of waiting to hear about that one!

Fourteen pages of people discussing why they returned the set isn't enough convincing?

...In which case, you'll need to tag this thread so you can find it again! (Hint, hint!)

Yes, but *some of those people* (who shall remain nameless) repurchased the set after they returned it and later became fans of PiYo.
