At least for me (so far) my iffy body parts haven't all acted up at once. That would be a real challenge.

So, for those with 4 or more wonky body parts, what workouts are you doing?

I do Margaret Richards' Getting Better strength video a lot. I am sick to death of this great workout, but it is fairly easy to modify around whatever body part is complaining.

And mostly Leslie or my elliptical for cardio.

Yay I voted in the 4+ It is getting a strong showing LOL I primarily do The FIRM (thus my name), Tracie Long, all of Anna Benson's titles, some Kari Anderson, Cathe, and Stephanie Huckabee indepenedent titles, Leslie, and some misc. It is pretty manageable to work around a wonky part on bad days, and modify when neccessary for however long it takes. Modifying is not failing, it is Persevering & Persisting (I tell myself this a lot)! Yay for us all!

1. Wrists and hands - They are actually better now, but psoriatic arthritis has weakened them over the years.

2. Left knee - Osteo arthritis, bone on bone.

3. Wonky lower back.

I have a few wonky parts:

1) right rotator cuff issues for many years due to an old injury
2) plantar fasciitis, not a problem at the moment
3) had a stress fracture in my foot over the summer that I'm still careful with
4) osteoarthritis in my hands, but it's not bad enough to interfere with working out. Hopefully it will stay that way!

Whenever I have many parts acting up at once, I dial things down and do Beachbody's 10 Minute Trainer (if I can), if not, then I ride my stationary bike or walk if it's an upper body issue. If it's a lower body issue, then I can usually still ride the bike, but then I'll also do upper body work. I just try to work around the injury so I'm still getting some type of exercise.

I'm superstitious about these things. I don't want to say I don't have any because I might give myself a jinx.

I think I remember that your shoulder was injured during a Chalene CLX workout several years back. I'm glad it healed and you don't have to worry about it anymore!

Wow, that was a long time ago. Over the years of exercising, I've had an occasional strain or sprain, but I am lucky that everything healed fully.

I put myself down as 2:

1. longer standing patellofemoral syndrome/wonky knees: this is mostly in control but is bilateral. I don't do too much high impact and wouldn't run now which is no love loss except that it is great for shedding pounds. The lighter I am the less of a problem this is as well.

2. piriformis syndrome: struggling with this right now. Hopefully I will improve and it will not be a problem in the future. PT thinks it was from a muscle imbalance, weak hip abductors and stabilizers, weak pelvic floor that got challenged with dancing and then the rest of my legs are pretty strong. Do your abductor work if you like to dance!

I like this thread and aspire to be like Jeanne Marie!
