Cathe F PHA?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but what does PHA stand for? Also, in the Cathe F LITE set there is a PHA 2 workout. Is there a PHA 1 somewhere? Does she have any other PHA workouts?

peripheral heart action training. the definition makes it seem like a form of circuit training of moving on between moves with little rest.

PHA 1 is part of the Strong and Sweaty set and is awesome. PHA3 is part of the Step Boss series and is very good as well. I like PHA 1 and 2 more but in general I like all things PHA.

She also has several PHA on Cathe Live. I think they're all good.

I haven't tried any of the PHAs, however reviews seem to indicate that the first isn't lower in Intensity or difficulty than the second.

So I am assuming that they don't necessarily increase in difficulty or are at the same level of Intensity either.

Correct they don't increase in intensity because of the numbering system. Some go three rounds of everything, others two rounds but you can adjust to what you want. Heavier the weights the harder the workout.

I like two rounds of everything, three rounds is boring to me.

I have not done the Cathe Live PHAs, but I love all three DVD versions. You get solid strength work with a good cardio effect.

Kristie or Rhonda...how would you rank the intensity or difficulty of the PHAs?

I think they are similar in intensity - high intermediate to advanced. You can modify up or down very easily.

PHA 3 does seem to have a bigger cardio effect. And PHA 1 goes 3 rounds instead of just 2, so it has a different feel from that perspective.

My first PHA was PHA 2 from the Lite series. If you wanted to go with that one as a start, it’s a good choice.
