THE FIRM Tallbox (Fanny Lifter) & Short Box Q's

1. What is the inch height of the tall box (Fanny Lifter) in the early FIRM vids? This is the wooden one with the X-shape leg supports.

2. What is the inch height of the short box in the early FIRM vids? Same wooden step with X-shape leg supports.

TIA. Carol

Generally I think the tall box was 14 inches and the short box was 10 inches in the early Firms (think Volume 4 and earlier). I think eventually they added a six inch box and a 17 inch box (for really tall folks).

The tall box was originally 14" and they came out with a 17" at the same time. Later, they recommended the 17" only be used for seated and leaning exercises. The original short box was 10" with an 8" option for short people. Later, they came out with 4" and 6" and they also finally added a 12" tall box for short people.

I think that sometimes the tall box was only 12 inches, but it was 14 inches for La Reine because she is a taller person. When the camera focused on the participants, they were using various heights.

My first box (a rubbermaid tool box) was 12 inches and I've never gone higher.
I'm 5'5" but my legs are on the short side.

P.S. I'm not Carol, but have two friends with that name.

They didn't come out with the 12" tall box until 1995, the year that Firm Strength and Firm Cardio were released.

It's a generational thing! Do you know anyone under the age of oh, 40, named Carol?

I have three of the original boxes, 12', 14" and 17". I swear I also had a 10" box but I can't find it.
