Got home from my in-laws a couple hours ago. The roads weren't terrible even though we saw some cars in ditches. Cyric was so happy to see me. I missed him so much.

Glad to hear you got home safely. My area is supposed to get it tonight, but I'm sure not as bad.

New thread, time to get serious. More calories and less activity apparently is not a good combination.

I'm going to sign up for a trail 10k about 45 minutes north of here the end of April, so I will get my butt out the door this winter. Of course I thought what about the 50k...because of the better price per kilometer? Then I remembered I really won't train enough ever to do it justice much less over a winter.

Cooked yams in the IP, best ever. Did black beans last night after soaking 6 am to 6 pm. So awesome. Going to try the chickpeas today without soaking...mainly because I forgot to soak them.

I actually got in a DVD workout yesterday. Thanks, buffmama, for KCM Trim Down.

So my hammy/butt was feeling better than it has since I don't know when. At the end of the running season, it was just a minor twinge. Two weeks over here with almost no workouts, then walking a bunch of days, yoga a bunch, and KB swings for 4 days in a row... it's right back where it was: painful. Of course it kind of crept up, so which of these did it, all of these, none of these??? But it definitely wasn't running which I've done none.
