Why do I keep trying this?

I'm trying to figure out why I keep trying out certain types of workouts, even though I don't enjoy them.

Barre is one. Oh, I can do the odd barre workout once in a while. But a full rotation, nope. I get bored out of my mind. So why did I buy a whole bunch of barre workouts off the VF Facebook group this summer? I have no freaking idea.

Anyone else keep trying workout styles that you know you have not enjoyed in the past, but keep hoping you'll magically like them or am I alone in this? Please don't let me be alone in this lol.

Not anymore but I used to keep doing that with Leslie and with Tonique.

I did it with Taebo and The Firm. I've since gotten rid of all those workouts.

Oh, yes, Taebo too. It moved too fast for me.

I did it more than once with intense strength and heavier weight rotations. But I finally learned my lesson and know where my niche is.

I tried, and eventually gave up on, yoga and kickboxing.

And that is the problem lol You can pull the arm on the slot machine 100 times and come up empty. But if pull #101 results in a jackpot, you get just a little edgy about giving up too soon the next time. Vidiots often have this fever and are spurred on by the victory cries of our fellow Vfers. And in truth, most of us do love the buzz of just pulling that arm, regardless of the outcome

For me, it's kickboxing or punch/jab, etc. type workouts. Totally not my thing. Yesterday I popped in Cathe's newest from the Ice series, Rock'm Sock'm Kickbox, and I couldn't even make it past the warm-up without shutting it off and putting in a FIRM dvd.

Yes, I do this with high impact cardio workouts. I think of them like vegetables that don't taste good but are supposedly good for you.
