Good Morning - going to be a quick pre-work post and run.

This AM:
Holden 3.23.2020 streaming class
Holden Healing Sounds Meditation - Lungs

Nothing like a session with Lee to get the day off on the right foot.

Hoping to get out in the sun for a walk later today.

Waves to ALL!

Good morning all! I enjoyed a walk on the beach yesterday while participating in a family gathering on Webex Meet. My son was walking around the raptor rehab where he volunteers, and a raven joined the meeting for a few moments. It was nice to see everybody.

Later I tried Core Strength and Flexibility from the Jane Adams Gentle Yoga DVD. I liked it a lot, it made my back feel good.

Quilting sounds like a good diversion Jackie. I predicted yesterday that crafters might take some of the cloth masks kind people are sewing, and turn them into Corona Quilts when all this is behind us.

Pam, wow nice thorough cleaning. It must feel so good to have your yoga/fitness room glowing from all four corners. I went behind the electronics on my hutch and tackled all the dust bunnies and cleaned off the TV screen, DVR, router, umpteen cables and wires and miscellany. It was embarrassing back there.

Cyana, I think we all would benefit from news breaks. I've made it a habit of watching bits and pieces of Gov. Cuomo, forwarding to the parts where he says feel good stuff. I just want to see if we're getting close to the apex, that's all. Working on our breathing capacity sounds like a very wise plan.

Margot it's so good to hear you are out walking. I hope the fresh air will help nourish your lungs. Congratulations on your Reiki level 1! Good thing you had that in your toolkit.

Good morning Kate, I hope you had a good weekend. And hello to Sherry, best wishes this week, let's get through this!

Good morning from migraine land....hoping it will pass soon. My neck & shoulders are tight, the likely culprit. I’ll be spending some time in one of my “torture devices” as DH calls them, lol. I think it will be my neck hammock.

Yesterday’s activities:
~Another hour of gardening trimming a huge fragrant rosemary bush in our front garden. It did smell heavenly!
~headstand
~ePilates: Full Body Band workout - This was nice, started some lovely shoulder stretches
~ePilates: Barre Legs - another good one, her cuing & instruction are always excellent.

Margot - I am a container gardener, lol. I have some seeds coming for greens & sprouting. DH will get our greenhouse going again now that we aren’t travelling. We have to be careful not to plant anything in an open garden with so many deer & hares about.
Friends of ours picked up covid travelling home from Phoenix to Winnipeg, symptoms started a few days after they arrived home. Thankfully they self isolated & are on the mend. I had a very nasty virus last summer, ended up in the ER with whooping cough type symptoms. Makes me wonder what exactly it was....

Cyana - I’m definitely attracted to feel good workouts, nothing too intense!

Pat - DH and I did a furniture moving vacuum & clean when we were first locked down. We found some scary dust bunnies & spider webs lurking in the background! My little fitness sanctuary feels very nice and refreshed.

Back later with my workouts....
Waves to Sherry & Kate!

A quick evening wave while I have a minute.

Pat - How neat to visit the raptor rehab during your Webex Meet call. How many people can participate using that platform?

Pam - I hope your migraine passes soon. Not sure what it is with me and rosemary, but I can't seem to keep those going for more than a couple of seasons. One of my farmers told me stopped growing them in the dirt and only grows them in his hydroponic greenhouse.

Time to start winding it down for the evening.....sleep well and stay well, everyone.

Hello yoginis!

Today was a rest day of sorts, migraine is ebbing but not quite gone....
~ETV: CS 1307 Strengthen Legs & Feet
~neighborhood walk
~Headstand
~Yin on my own including neck & shoulder stretches

Cyana - Rosemary is so prolific here, I have several large bushes growing in various places in my yard. They like to be in a spot with good drainage. They are very hardy & grow all winter, I love the smell of it!

Waves to all!

Aw Pam I'm sorry to hear about your migraine. You really must have mild winters if your rosemary doesn't expire every season. It is one of the most amazing smells in the world.

Good workouts Sherry.

Cyana, I don't know how many Webex can accommodate, but we had 10 channels on our Brady Bunch screen.

Everyone have a happy and healthy day. _/\_

Good morning everyone!

Today's workouts:
- LH April 3 - Tao Ying, where qigong and yoga meet. A great active class with some relaxing stretches and meditation at the end.
- ePilates - two short segments; one for the glutes and one for the core. I'm thinking of trying out Emma for a month, now she is offering the first month for only $1. I really noticed today the imbalance between my right and left glutes.
- 3 1/2 hours of yard work.

I think all I can manage is some restorative yoga this evening.

Pam - Hope you are migraine-free today. I'm so glad your friends are recovering well from the virus. I think we must have a similar climate to yours, as rosemary and sage flourish here too. Mine must be at least 10 years old and I had to give them a serious haircut last year, as they were getting way too big. Thyme though, often doesn't make it through the winter.

Cyana - Too bad about the rosemary but you do get to grow ginger and turmeric. I'd love to be able to grow those here. I've been sprouting some broccoli and red clover seeds in the kitchen window and they're about ready to eat. DH and I don't like them much to be honest, but we eat them because they're so nutritious. Too bad they don't come in chocolate flavours!

Thanks Sherry. DH and I are pretty much back to normal now. Nice workouts for you yesterday.

Pat - How great to be able to connect with your son at his work. Isn't technology amazing!

Waves to all!

This morning I decided to attempt a Body Combat. I haven't done one in a long time. I was able to do a 55 minute class with a few very short breaks, and I adapted the floor work to what felt right for me.

After that I did Sarah Beth Yoga for Anxiety/Stress-her most recent 20 minute practice.

Pam and Margot-I wish I could garden. I kill everything! I definitely have a black thumb. Our property was originally a horse farm. You would think that would mean we have great soil, but it is terrible.

Pam, I am glad your migraine is better.

Pat, are your beaches still open now? I think they have closed most if not all boardwalks in NJ.

My husband had to do a Zoom meeting for the first time yesterday, but he kept his video off-most everyone else did also. One person logged in early and forgot to turn the video off or to hit mute, and whomever else was on heard his dog barking and him yelling at someone else in the house!

Margot, you are doing great getting back to exercise

Cyana, your fresh herbs sound lovely! I would have to put mine in a bedroom that we keep closed or our cats would get to them. I could never do them on a kitchen windowsill.

Hi to Jackie and Kate!

I am taking a rest day from cardio tomorrow, since I did three days in a row. My knees start bugging me. I picked out a Scott Cole and some kundalini yoga. I am not sure what I am doing, but qi gong and/or kundalini sound nice!

Have a nice evening,
Sherry

I really liked the Tara Judelle practice. It took me out of my comfort zone, but wasn't uncomfortable.

Margot that Tao Ying class sounds wonderful. How are your lungs feeling?

Sherry how did you like Sarah Beth's new anxiety routine? I have to be careful with anxiety yoga - if it has any "think about the worst thing" or "tense yourself up first" I need to avoid it.

Hello to all you lovely ladies. Have a safe and wonderful day.
