I exercised 42 minutes this morning! Late last year, I exercised consistently, but really let up on the duration and intensity of workouts and it got to where if I could get to 30 minutes, it was a major exercise day. Today, I cobbled together parts of two Jessica workouts from her Work Strong set, both with an upper body focus. I feel pleased and well worked out.

Older thread alert!

It's been about 4 weeks since I started this thread, and I'm going to note some progress because I find it helps me stay positive and motivated... and mostly off the scale. I've been working out mostly with Ellen, and then Jessica. I've been flirting with CS and others.
  • Increased endurance and strength. I especially notice that I'm much more fluid during traveling plies/ plie squats, and I'm more able to focus on using the inner thighs and extending through the leg.
  • Definition in glutes! I know that I need to focus on strengthening my posterior chain, and so this new shape is an added bonus. I have less of a "thutt" going on!
  • My natural turn out is much less pronounced, and I feel like my legs are more balanced, if that makes sense? They are stronger, and so are my feet and ankles. The increased stability around my ankles has been helpful during balance challenges as well.
  • I'm noticing my abs again. Whoo-hoo!

I'd love to hear from anyone else who cares to share! It's fun.

Wow, that's a great update, Laura! Pretty cool!

We moved to a new apartment (again!) and my morning workout time this week has been 30-45 minute walks. I live in a very hilly area, with lots of stairs , near the harbour, and I am pleased to note that I am not as winded on the stairs and hills. So, a cardio boost has been a positive result for me.
