OT - Need to replace OLD bathrobe!

My old cozy bathrobe is long overdue being replaced but not sure where to look after all these years. Want a good quality bathrobe to wrap up in after my shower. Not stiff and heavy like the hotel ones.

Hoping for help and recommendations! Thanks!!

I have a cotton terry robe from Land's End but it's a tad too thick and heavy, though it has gotten slightly less thick having been through the washer and dryer many times over the past 2-3 years. I wouldn't call it stiff.

I'll be watching this thread for recommendations because I once had a perfect bathrobe from Kohl's but I finally had to retire it after like a decade of service. It wasn't too thick or thin.

I have a number of dressing gowns from April Cornell.

The old ones (15+ years old) are better, if you ask me, but the new ones are similar enough generally that I've kept them. The company seems to have restructured or something, it's not quite the same as it used to be.

I have some in flannel, and some in lighter weaves that work better for summer.

Not sure where else to shop for such a thing.

Oh, and I ALWAYS get the extra large size so they survive laundry day at my house. If I got something smaller I'd be afraid it would shrink, plus I like the roominess.

My robe is from Costco, one of my favorite items in my closet, nice and soft, I will be bummed when it falls apart but it's still going strong.

Land's End has a supima cotton bathrobe that is not too heavy. I love their nightshirts too.

Thanks for the responses. Flannel might be an option. I will check out that site. I wasn't sure about Land's End and thought they might be heavy. Same with LL Bean. It's hard when you can't see them but the brick and mortar stores don't seem to have as many options. Might be more options as the weather starts to change but DH wanted to know what I want for our September Anniversary and a new soft cuddly robe was all I could come up with. It is hard to find the perfect robe and when I do, I keep it forever. It was so much easier to give him gift ideas when there were so many new workout DVD releases.

Here are a few I was looking at but I don't know anything about the brands or how they would wear - and wash.

I know about Ugg from their boots but not sure about other products.

Oh I like that Plush Necessities one. My kids bought me a fleece robe for Christmas several years ago from Target. It's soft and cozy but not as plush as the one you linked above. I like that Plush one a lot!

You could try Vermont Country Store (catalog and online). I got some good night clothes from there for my Dad. Also, Hanes (the underwear people) occasionally have some robes.

Thanks. Vermont Country has this chenille one that looks like an option:

It looks heavy in the pic but, being chenille, it might not be stiff and heavy like the hotel terry robes.

I had one of these robes gifted to me and I love it so much - might be giving them as Christmas gifts myself. The only thing I don't love about it is the fringed sleeves, but i just roll them up a couple of rolls and that takes care of the fringe.
