Hi everyone! My name is Jen and I first started using workout and dance DVDs in 2011...Exercising regularly is a challenge at times, but I'm hoping to change that by adding to my collection. I think having a bigger, more diverse rotation will help keep me motivated.

I've been using the WWE Fit DVD with Stephanie McMahon for awhile and hope to try my kickboxing and mixed martial arts DVDs soon. I'm getting back into belly dancing (Egyptian and Turkish) and hula dance, too. Also, I enjoy swimming and taking walks whenever possible.

I'm not sure what to try next, but I'm sure I'll discover some interesting workouts through this forum.

Hi, long time lurker finally decided to join the discussion. I am an advanced exerciser who enjoys good circuit, HiiT and Step workouts. Some of my favorites are Michelle Dozios, Kelly, Jari, Amy Bento, Cathe and Patrick Godeau. I have been doing videos since my kids were babies and that would be about 20 years. I'm getting old! Looking forward to participating. I like the topics here and am glad I decided to join in.

Welcome to both of you - whether to the forum or out of lurkdom. I'm sure you'll find plenty of new stuff to try around here. The trick is figuring out the types of workouts that work for you - hopefully, before you buy them.

Feel free to jump in wherever works for you. It's always good to gain new posters.

Hi,

My name is Kristina. I used to be on Collage on and off since 2009 until around 2012 if I remember correctly. I just recently got back into exercising. I live in the Atlanta metro area although originally I am all the way from Eastern Europe. Married with two little kiddos, have been a stay at home mom but recently have picked a part time job for a little bit of fun.

I haven't bought any new DVD's since probably 2012 so my favorites are from around that era. I will be lurking a lot trying to figure out what's new because I'm completely clueless as to what's trending or what's good or what would fit my taste in fitness. Exercise has become a habit over the last three months thankfully. It's just a matter of finding what I like from the many things that are out there these days.

Another new one

Hi,

I'm Julia - been lurking here for a long time.
I exercise at home about 7 years, pretty consistent about it. While I ave some DVDs, I don't buy anymore - streaming and downloads are so much more convenient (especially as I live in Israel and shipping charges are disastrous).
Like low-impact cardio, pilates, barre and fusion workouts.

Thank you all for this wonderful forum, hope to take more active part from now on :-)

Welcome out of lurkdom, Julia. Feel free to jump in anywhere on VF you want to contribute.

Two things I love about this site are (a) how international it is and (b) how much it is about health and wellness and fitness in general, however you go about it. It sounds like you can contribute in both aspects.

My name is Garrie Ayers and I have been a home exerciser since 2011. I am 20 year old male from Virginia. In May I graduated college with an Associate's degree in Information Systems Technology. Currently I am searching for a job.

My journey to home exercise started in 2011 when I found some old VHS tapes in my sister's basement. They consisted of Tae Bo, Leslie Sansone, Richard Simmons, Kathy Smith, and various other titles. I enjoyed them but didn't particularly *click* with them. While yard sale shopping on a hot day in June of 2012 I came across the original six Volume Firm series (in the clamshell cases) for only $1! (Yes you read that correctly!!) Shortly after, I began doing online research and found Videofitness. All I can say is..."Thank you!" Working out to videos and DVDs became more than a hobby, but a way of life. My collection has grown immensely with various styles and instructors. I joined the forum in October of 2014 and recently got approved to post threads and replies! (Thanks Chrys aka cdayley and Wendy aka WWWendy)

My biggest accomplishment was losing 40 pounds over a three year period. I have also become much stronger and fit. Currently my favorite workouts include Tracie Long, Kelly Coffey Meyer, Pilates, barre, dance, and yoga. I am proud to say that Yoga Booty Ballet is my "guilty pleasure" workout!

My hobbies include crocheting, nature walks, yard sales, collecting exercise stuff and any 90s TV show on DVD, and working out of course!

I am glad to be a member of this wonderful forum!
