You know when you have one of those weeks that you think is going to be not so great...and then it isn't!

Ugh, I think I have some of the Covid blues too...and let's throw in post-election blues and approaching winter blues too, shall we?

Sandra, I don't think shorter posts are necessarily better. I try to refresh before I start typing...and then I try to remember to copy whatever I wrote in case I need to resubmit.

Despite feeling irritated, lethargic, and demoralized, this made me smile today:

Good evening mat mavens!

Today’s offerings, still keeping my week gentle....
~Neighbourhood walk
~Cardio: 25 min rebounding & 15 min gliding
~Live Core & Stretch class on the band app
~Steps: 10,097

Beth - I love the parrot video, thanks for the smile!

Pat - Margaret smiles so sweetly while she’s trying to kill you, lol!

Paine, Sandra, & Beth - Sorry you’re all dealing with Covid blues! I’m trying to fend them off, but I often feel they are ready to pounce on me. The shorter days & colder weather don’t help. We tend to get a lot of grey drizzly days through the winter so I bought myself a new long raincoat as I want to walk outside rain or shine. Getting outside really helps my mental health. Sending you all (((hugs))).

Pam, glad you enjoyed the video! DH & I have always loved African Greys for their intelligence and incredible ability to mimic.

RE the blues, I do try to keep perspective. But I am having a really off week - I got a speeding ticket this morning, my first one in probably 20 years (and on the one day I drive into the office!).

Good morning,

I took a planned rest day yesterday.

This morning was:

Body Project PT1 31 minutes
Flow with Adee Yoga for lower back release. I always need this after lifting weights.

I will be back for personals later.

Sherry

Essentrics 45 minutes

I really needed some Essentrics to fight my stiff old lady body and I feel nicely stretched now.

Beth, thanks for the funny parrot video!
Ah sorry about the speeding ticket. I know that feels rotten. Sending you hugs!

Pam, I know I should get outside for daily walks but I haven't been able to force myself to do it.

Hi everyone! I intended to walk yesterday on my day off, but it began raining heavily so I caught up on house chores and laundry. Finally switched out my winter clothes, we haven't had the need here yet. In between bouts of housework I did my own stretching and inversion table breaks.

Beth, what a bummer about your speeding ticket. I hope you cheer up soon - these COVID blues just don't seem to have any end in sight.

Paine, I'm happy that Essentrics is working for you.

Pam, I agree, getting outdoors is such a mood brightener.

Everyone, please have a nice day!

Speeding ticket was my own stupid fault, but still annoying obviously.

Paine, would you belief that even though I snagged more SweeTango apples, they are not as good? I guess it's the end of the season...
And I agree about taking daily walks, especially as it gets colder/dark earlier. I'm still trying to do it at least occasionally, and I try to enjoy being near the canal when I go to the studio.

Pam, I also meant to say good for you for getting a new raincoat! My mom just bought herself something she's always wanted, an animal print coat.

Beth - sorry about the speeding ticket.

Sorry so many are suffering from covid blues. I guess its harder on those with family. As my shirt says, "I was social distancing before it was the thing to do." Since I don't drive anymore and have no family I'm used to not seeing other people besides the mailman. Most of dh's jobs involved lots of travel so I was alone most of the time when he was alive. I guess life prepared me for social distancing.

Yesterday I rode the recumbent bike while watching a Leslie video. I thought I got rid of everything Leslie. It was nice to see her but her style of walking makes my hips and back hurt. It feels like my energy is back after the flu shot so I'll be using Cathe for weights today.

Linda, I think it depends; I know people who live alone who are struggling too. I think it's just this big universal thing hovering over everyone and impacting each of us in different ways. Glad your energy is back!

Beth - the people you know who live alone, are they used to getting out shopping and being with other people?
