I wouldn't mind giving it a try, but I agree with you. Not only did it remind me of a scene from a bad sci-fi flick, but I got claustrophobic just looking at that photo. *Shudders*

I remember reading about it when fuzzie tried it, and thinking it sounded awesome. The idea of being able to get my back to release in some of those supported positions.... sounds divine.

I was thinking the same thing. You would have to be in amazing shape to actually do this but it looks as though it would make yoga interesting.

I would like to try it too.

It looks like what a studio in my area calls sling yoga. I haven't gone because it's a 20 minute drive and I've never been to a yoga studio and I don't want to go by myself.

Oh, I think this looks cute and fun! Yes, the cocoons look creepy from the outside, but what about being on the inside? I always liked making blanket forts when I was little. It sounds like a soothing way to meditate. And the flying things look soooo yummy, like I can feel my spine twisting and curving in nice ways just thinking about that.

Then again, I'm super weird. My favorite pose is plow. I love anything that gets me upside down-ish and moving around in bizarre contortions.

I hear ya. Many people with very bad nearsightedness are at risk for that and don't even know it. It's the only thing stopping me from bungee jumping. It also prevents me from buying one of those inversion slings, or whatever they are called, where you hang upside down to decompress the spine.
