The US site lists different weights/cord strengths than the EU site. I started with the red clip (extra strong) when I first bought it, but tested the blue clip (medium) in a shop and liked the squishier feel so when it came time to replace my first cords I bought the medium strength. I could not keep up with my Urban Rebounding videos on the mediums, however, and replaced them with extra strong when they wore out (about 2 years after purchase). I recall reading that they cords were made tighter at some point, but since my initial purchase was more than 5 years ago, I cannot remember how those extra strong cords compare to the new ones. I will say that I can keep up with the UR videos on extra strong cords, but I don't jump high off the mat. The important part with rebounding is pushing down into the mat, not jumping high so keep that as your focus. A bungee rebounder feels vastly different from (and slower than) a spring rebounder (I had a Cellerciser and a Needak before the Bellicon).
Another note: if you have PF or tend to pronate, you should go with a stronger set of cords than what is normally recommended for your weight. |

Hi, everyone. I've recently been using my Bellicon again. I first purchased a 44-inch Bellicon with extra strong bungees, and I got it two months after my knee surgery. My knee did not like the stiffer bounce on the Bellicon, so I just put it aside for quite a while, like 2 years!
A few months ago I got some advice to start out with 2 minutes of bouncing a few times a day, and to get the strong bungees instead. Now my knee is very happy with the Bellicon, and I'm slowly building up my time. For a change I'm actually slowly building up, instead of jumping in full force like I usually do! I'm not normally an A-type personality, but for some reason I've always been that way with exercise, and that's how I ended up with knee surgery. I was searching for a true beginner Bellicon video, and I came across this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZuu...20647E9D6D5575 I know it's really an easy, gentle workout, but it's 20 minutes long and for me it's been a really good workout to help me build up my time on the Bellicon. There are also some other really good beginner workouts by these twins as well. I hope this helps. Sue |
