Comments: This one moves quickly from exercise to exercise. You should feel nicely stretched out. I always prefer to stretch out my hips more with pigeon (which isn't included here.) Overall, Autumn does a good job, but there is no instruction for someone new to yoga. You follow along to the best of your ability. No yoga speak, just more athletic stretching. If you like the pace of Jillian's Yoga melt-down, this I think is somewhat similar. Autumn is soft spoken, which helps with the yoga mood.

I know them from Jillian Michaels' No More Trouble Zones and Jackie Warner's Power Circuit (although she called them something else). They can be done with or without hand weights. See them here - they begin the clip): https://www.totalfitnessdvds.com/PER...-DVD-p/266.htm

ETA - Actually I think they're called Surrenders if they use weights cause your arms are up in the air. See Jillian Michaels, starting around 0:46 http://www.collagevideo.com/workout-...ble-zones-5641

Pam you did a great job breaking these down

I'd never done - or even heard of - the surrender move before I bought this set. The first time it made me sore for days, but now I don't mind them. They only appear in the basic rotation one day out of the week and there are only two actual minutes of them in total (you do a minute of them in round one, rest 20 seconds, do side shuffles for a minute, rest 20 seconds, then do second set of surrenders for one minute and then you're done with surrenders until the next week!)

The most dreaded exercises for me are the burpees & mountain climbers, but again, they only pop up once a week in the basic rotation, are only a small part of the 30 minutes, and thankfully there are modifications available.

Thank you for the breakdowns! I am on the fence since the free shipping offer is almost up, and I was wondering what these were like!

Honestly? When NMTZ came out in 2008 I could do Surrenders and didn't really mind them. Five, going on six, years later they absolutely kill my knees.
