Oh, Beyond Barre, not Barre Amped -- mixing up my upcoming barre releases! I love that clip, and love how they're using the slide. I agree that it looks shorter than some out there --

I really want this workout to come out, and I want a slide! Like being a kid again . . .

I bought a used Reebok slide in 2005 from a local Craigslister. The person I bought it from hardly used it. I loved it. I thought it was great for my outer and inner thighs, as well as gluteal development. I used the booties and not socks. I found the Reebok slide to be very sturdy and of high quality.

I had the following workouts for it, all which I bought on-line in 2005:
1) Slide Reekbok: Basic Training (VHS)
2) CIA 0014: All New Advanced Slide Workout featuring Heather Day (DVD)
3) Liz Dyer: Advanced Step & Slide (VHS - eventually traded with a VFer)

Unfortunately, I reluctantly wound up selling my slide when I was strapped for cash. I hope to find another one at a reasonable price.

Wow. Lots of slide love. I will check out the barre clips. Thanks so much.

Almost exactly a year ago I was asking on VF if the slide was coming back (turns out it had been featured on Biggest Loser b/c of the Olympics). I've always found it a great workout, but not one I can do for any length. I think this new DVD may be the first DVD with a slide and it may break my "super sale only" no-buy.

That's one I've been looking for for long time but have never seen it. Do you still have it fitgirl?

Oh. My. Beyond Barre's version is $249. Now I have much more respect for my thrift bargain. Video looks good. Kind of wish I had bought the one for $20, too.

Sue, somehow I missed your post the first time through. This is definitely by The Step Company, but no holes. It is 6 feet, with a bumper on each side. The bumpers are attached with velcro. You can move the bumper in more if you want to. The two-sided tape that holds it down is coming up on one side, I guess dried out with age. But I am sure Home Depot has something I can work with.

I still have the original Reebok slide and booties.

I used to use it a lot during softball season. I used it to help with my lateral motion.

What a great find at the thriftstore, if only I could be so lucky!
I have been keeping my eye for one as well, so I would be ready for the beyond barre dvd if and when it might come out - and because I would just like to use it for inner and outer thighs -

So which do you think would be better:
an older reebok slide or a SBK Hockey Training Slideboard

For those of you that have a slideboard, do you really think there would be alot of difference between the two? They are both on the cheap end of slide boards, which is where my budget would be.

Any knowledge and advice is appreciated.
