Because of this thread, I was intrigued by these bands and I wound up getting this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm not sure if I would recommend it though. I consider myself an intermediate exerciser and I feel like this band is a little hard to move. I felt like it was weird on my knees when doing squats. So, I'm not sure if it's just too hard for me?? I did side to side steps with it and I can feel some soreness this morning so it works for that! It's a "one size fits all" so maybe that's why it's harder for me. I hope it loosens up a bit the more that I use it.

thanks - i haven't taken the plunge yet. but i was sometimes wondering to myself about when i've done squats all these years, my muscles were used to a certain position. but by confining my legs to a certain position, you're working slightly different muscles, thereby causing some DOMS.

Donnadc- did you use it with a particular workout such as a lower body workout, or just "freestyling" with it?

edited to add: when i started this thread, i wanted to select an appropriate thread title. i almost titled it "wide booty band" and it sounded like "wide" was an adjective to "booty" and not "band".

thread titles i considered:
wide booty band (nope)
booty wide band (nope)
wider than normal booty band (lol)
booty band (thread might be ignored since usual loops go around your ankles)

A couple of months ago Chalene Johnson did some exercises on Instagram and was wearing cloth bands. She said they were awesome - no rolling, pinching, etc. I don't remember what brand they were, though, but they are on Amazon. If I find the post, I'll let you know.

Thanks for starting the thread Jeannine!
I’ve been following it as I really dislike those loops that roll up and then dig in to your legs. I found these on amazon.ca (I’m in Canada) & there was an $11 discount coupon on them. Too good to pass up so like the good vidiot/gadget/accessory junkie that I am, I ordered them, lol. I am happily enabled & they should be here on Friday.

I was just freestyling, trying it out. I got my ideas from this video though:

you're welcome!

I tried searching for that brand and vendor on US amazon, but although they are an Amazon US vendor, they're not selling those bands on the US site.

there's many comparable ones. I added the Victorem brand set to my cart.

This is a brand I follow on Instagram. I can’t quite pull the trigger on them though due to the price. Might have to go on my Christmas wishlist

got to try on the Victorem bands i purchased from Amazon. my set came with 3 bands of progressive intensity. the smaller the diameter, the higher the resistance. they're comfortable and come in nice colors:

before my bands came, i tried using an "O" shaped loop band while doing a Leslie walk. it was intense!
