budget tools (slightly OT)

Hi, I did a number of searches for the thread where folks mentioned a budgeting system they liked -- and helped them track their expenses -- but can't find it.

Can anyone let me know what it was?
Thanks,
Lynn

There was discussion of YNAB as suegy3 mentioned.

My sister and her husband use Mint, another type of budgeting system.

Another vote for ynab. It is very user-friendly, even for financial/math dummies like myself.

Totally agree with everyone about YNAB! I LOVE the fact that if you skip entering data for a while and just want to start again, you can make a "fresh start" and it keeps your accounts and budget categories but you can start anew on whatever date you want and just start entering new transactions. For someone who stops & starts a lot, this is invaluable for me. Plus, I just love the setup and how easy it is to use.
