What exercise or activity empowers you?

Dance classes, tennis and ice skating always empower me. All of those activities make me feel like Superwoman afterwards. Some spinning and heavy lifting workouts are empowering, too.

Hiking is my favorite activity. If I can get a nice long hike in, I feel like all my other fitness activities are worthwhile.

Plyometrics. I wasn't always able to do plyo, and sometimes it can still be difficult. When I am able to do plyo moves I feel like Wonder Woman!

Anything that reminds me of my military days like pushups (all varieties), sit ups, and pull-ups.

Heavy lifting for me. Things like deadlifting more than my body weight for multiple reps just makes me feel like Wonder Woman.

Being able to hike into a beautiful area and being able to do outdoor projects (which for me living in a forested, mountainous area is carrying logs and rocks and seems most often it’s uphill) motivates me.

Edited to add: Probably the most motivation comes from people who are older than me and who are still active.

I love doing my boot camp classes, Essentrics, and long walks.

Doing these physical activities makes me able to reach around my kitchen, stoop down, improve my balance, rake leaves, and do yard work.

Walking is my go to, BUT I have added in ONE weights day a week for the past 5 weeks, and it has been energizing me in ways I didn't know it could.

I love love love not too easy hikes the most. After that kettlebells and moves from up and down and back and forth from the ground. I feel very empowered and accomplished after doing deck squats combined with kb snatches and burpees. Then I lie on the floor crynig for my mummy - just love that feeling!
How could I forgot to mention a good yoga class as well!!’
