Need to modify chaturanga

I've started to get mile tendinitis in my elbow forearm area esp in right arm. I read another post and I think I'll try going from down dog to dolphin then to sphinx .... Or quit these for a while, but I'll give modifying a chance,

Uh-oh!

I hope your arm heals soon.

ETA: Desisting from stressing the arm with exercises that put pressure really seems to help. I feel intuitively that I need to stretch the injured tissue gently. So far googling hasn't helped me find anything that helps.

Or go from plank straight back to down dog and skip the chaturangas altogether

This modification is mentioned fairly frequently by Rudy Mettia on udaya.com. He also mentions lowering the upper body with the knees down (kneeling pushup).
