Yes, by "original" I am meaning the 2008 Revolution versus this new DVD with the same name.

On price, if I use it, it's worth more to me than a Ross bargain, and quality work along Kettlebell DVDs are still limited. I have "bargains" still in the wrappers (which is why I had my "fresh" resolution for this year), but not one of those unused DVDs is a kettlebell DVD.

I do agree to this and have many pricey workouts that I do use. Right now I am trying limit the pricey workouts that I buy and wait to see if it comes down in price or get it from trade. I have recently spent a lot of money on the two Zumba sets (Transformation and Exhilarate), Hip Hop Hustle and Cathe's pre-sale.

Comparison of the OP's Revolution and the 2008 version

OK, got it from Mary today. While there are similarities, esp. in the beginner set, it is definitely NOT a remake.

Revolution ©2011:
34.5 minute run time with NO menu/chaptering (at least when playing on my computer--this decision seems odd to me since she chaptered her other videos), NO cooldown. Just starts with intro and plays.

There are a few exercises where she demos the work unweighted for one rep before you do the work, but, as the OP mentioned, for the most part there is ~ a 5 second break between each exercise. I do like the onscreen counter.

Joint mobility warm up then
Two hand deadlift - 10
two hand snatch pull - 10
two hand push press - 10
squats - 5
two hand swings - 20
one hand deadlifts (alternating, NOT suitcase style) - 10 - 5 a side
one hand high pulls (alternating) - 10 - 5 a side
one hand push press - 5 a side
alternating lunges - 5 a side
one hand swings - 10 a side
suitcase deadlifts - 5 a side
cleans - 5 a side
military press - 5 a side
one leg squats - 5 a side
swings overhead - 20
around the waist - 10 each direction
around the head (halo) - 5 each direction
two hand flip and catch - 10
windmills - 5 a side
darc swings (alternating swings) - 20 total
one leg deadlift - 5 a side
walking swings - 10
snatches - 10 a side
upright row (it's actually bent over) - 5 a side
upside down clean - 5 a side
lunges with kettlebell overhead (alternating lunges) 10 per side holding bell
TGUs - 5 a side
one hand flip and catch - 5 a side

[Original] Revolution ©2008:
Longer breaks between with tips. Fully chaptered, with the ability to choose between levels. 60+ run time if you do all three levels/joint mobility bits.

(I've always loved that Missy uses a Russian Red 35# kb for all of this and it looks like it was a one day shoot. )

Beginner:
Two hand deadlift - 10
two hand snatch pull - 10
two hand push press - 10
squats - 5
two hand swings - 10 (unweighted demo first)
suitcase deadlifts - 5 a side
one hand high pulls (alternating) - 10 - 5 a side
alternating lunges - 5 a side
one hand swings - 5 a side
two hand snatch pull, push press - 5 a side

Intermediate
two hand swing - 20
cleans - alternating, 10 a side
one leg squats - 5 a side
military press - 5 a side
windmills - 5 a side
darc swings (alternating swings) - 20 total
push press - 2 sets of 5 a side
snatch - 2 sets of 5 a side
one leg deadlift - 5 a side
two hand/clean/darc swing combo - 10/10/10

Advanced
walking swing - 20
clean & jerk - 10
squat thrust/snatch - alternating 5 each side
snatch pull/squat/press - 5
TGUs - 5 each side
overhead lunge (lunges with kettlebell overhead (alternating lunges)) 10 per side holding bell
snatch windmill - 5 each side
clean/squat/press (alternating) - 5 a side
deck squat/two high pulls - 10
3-level two-handed swing series, 10 each level

Wow! Any idea what she's using in the 2011 workout? (I'm very impatient, I hope to get mine today!) Thanks so much for listing the exercises!

I ordered the dvd from Mary on Friday, received it in the mail today. Great service! (and I live in New Jersey) I'm off to preview now.

I like seeing her smile, too. It's infectious. It'd been a while since I'd done the advanced workout from Rev 2008 and I had forgotten how she gets a genuine smile when she completes a hard exercise.

I previewed the DVD last night and I'm a little disappointed. First, the case came cracked - oh well. Then I tried to play it and when I loaded it in my DVD player, it spins and grinds like it is about to explode! Once it gets going and plays, there is just this constant loud spinning/grinding sound. I have to turn the volume way up to try to hide the noise. I've tried two DVD players, my portable DVD player, my laptop and my desktop with the same result. Anyone else have this DVD issue?

ETA - my disappointment isn't from the workout itself, I have yet to try it. The noise issue is really bothersome...

No, I had no problem with the dvd. I used it on Tuesday, but I was a little disappointed. A lot of times, she only does 5 reps per side. Sometimes 10 reps for the swings. A lot of pictures in between saying what move is next. No real rest time other than that, but with only 5 reps, do you really need a lot of rest time?

Also, I got the dvd because she shows Turkish getups slowly. I tried it the way she showed (and without a kettlebell), and it was impossible for me to bend my legs (my legs are pretty long) the way it was demo'd. Disappointed.
