NOW I Understand Why So Many VFers Love Slim In 6

I got the original Si6 SASE and tried it last week. Now I know why it got such raves -- it's nothing like the sET I bought from BB in 2010. Start It Up is actually a great workout. My heart rate gets right up there and I'm using no weights at all.

The new Si6 used either hand weights or the resistance band, if I remember correctly, plus Shakeology was mentioned at least once.

This is definitely a keeper workout. Hopefully when I finish I'll finally be able to tackle all that Tonique I bought at Mary's sale.

so you're saying i don't need the re-filmed Si6?

i don't have the new one but was considering it. i have the Original-original, meaning, the version where SIU is 50 min. long.

I bought the re-filmed version and really liked it. I did not have the original Start it Up though. Just Ramp it Up and Burn it Up.

I liked the orginal Slim in 6 for the yoga infused cooldown alone. I hated that they did the plies to death though.

I've got both (my "original" set has the shorter Start it Up) and I really like both versions. I still alternate them.

F1mom, what does SASE mean?
Which version of Start it Up do you have in your set, 25 min or 50 min?

SASE stands for "self-addressed stamped envelope", usually referring to having received something in a trade.

Interesting, I have the originals (downloaded from youtube) and the refilmed set. They aren't much different at all? Better image quality, new backgrounders, and maybe some minor tweaks but the exercises and format is the same.

The orginal one was about 50 minutes long, had band work ( about 10 mins worth), pushups and ab work. no floor leg, and a fantastic cool down that was about 11 minutes long.

I have both SI6 sets, and I have used them a TON. Not so much Start it Up, but Ramp It Up, and Burn It Up, a lot. I like to use the originals with the resistance band, then alternate that with the new workouts using light dumbells. This makes me feel like I am not overusing the bands. These make great travel workouts!
