With DH working from home daily, my workouts are suffering. Yesterday was a wash because I realized that I had time for either a workout or a shower before DH's conference call began. (He Zooms from the bedroom while the girls and I work in the living area.) I went with the shower.

Today I tried a Jessica Smith DVD and...Idk. She just always seems to move so fast. Arms swinging and side stepping...

This thread has helped me stay more consistent with yoga this month which was my goal. I also got some good suggestions from the GD thread on gentle/restorative yoga which I purchased a few.

We have had some good weather and some snow as well. But oh well, at least I know we are on the down slope in regards to snow and colder weather.

I hope all is well.

How is everyone doing?

I’ve never been part of a check-in but this list keeping has worked well for me this month. I haven’t struggled this much with motivation in a long time.

I like seeing all the workouts in a list -- makes me feel accomplished!
It's also helped me get back on the exercise wagon.

I believe I'm going to start Pahla B's 31 day challenge tomorrow ("weight loss for women over 50"). It's on her YouTube channel. They're all 20-25 min, so I could add stretching if I want.

(I'm not yet 50, but they're just the right pace for me. And her chatter doesn't bother me. Yet.)

I like Pahla B's workouts alot. I discovered her while I was in the hospital helping out my sister during her five day in patient chemo session. I liked that I could do them barefoot, without sound so as not to wake my sister up and the short workouts were perfect for me to squeeze something in the early morning before all the doctors and nurses came in.

Will be heading to the hospital again next will and I will probably be doing Pahla and other youtube instructors.

DH had those 5-day in-patient cycles. Except I was home with two little ones, so he was alone except for visits. It's awesome you were able to stay.

I like Pahla, but not her walking workouts (which today was). Literally marching in place for 20 minutes -- I mixed it up with some Leslie moves.

I'm another fan of Pahla B! I have been thinking about that 31 day challenge, too. I also don't love her walking workouts - they get boring. I have, on occasion, done them on my recumbent bike - listening to her talk while I rode the bike!

She also posts a weekly "mini challenge" on her Blog.

Allison and donnamp: Hahahah, I clicked on a cardio one, not realizing it was 20 minutes and that it was all marching. It got me alot of steps but uh no, I don't think I will be doing that again. I will stick to the shorter, not walking videos.

Some of her cardio is fine - like her low impact HIIT routines, etc. but the walking does tend to bore me!
