according to one of the Amazon "Customer questions & answers," Bodylastic measurements are as follows:
https://www.amazon.com/Bodylastics-S...5890548&sr=8-4 Band only (unstretched) = 48" with handles = 64" band can stretch 4x its length maybe for those moves that you cited you could switch to something shorter? you could compare the above measurements with other products to help narrow the search. you can also estimate how short you would need by comparing an unstretched Bodylastics band with the shorter length needed for your anatomy. Bodylastics might have a differently-designed product that might be shorter - maybe an "O" shaped loop? Lifeline bands are slightly longer - these are the ones with the removable "soft" handles, and vary depending on the resistance: https://www.amazon.com/Lifeline-Ulti...ef_=ast_sto_dp Maroon band (40# resistance): Band only (unstretched) = 60" with handles = 66" Teal band (10# resistance) Band only (unstretched = 62" with handles = 68"

tying a knot makes it tougher. you could do this with the Beachbody ones since the bands have their own built-in "stopper ball" on the end, and by tying a knot. Alternatively, this video shows another way - using a separate ball (these are Dynapro, very similar to Lifeline/Beachbody bands):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYLYOlykRh8 this next demo is a loop, but you could apply this to a Bodylastics type - wrap around 1 hand or your foot (Bubbles mentioned this): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKDtKHka7vM Here's one for Bodylastics in the standing position, but more time is spent showing modifications for taller people (taller people can extend the handles since Bodylastics has hooks): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPzHoCJF7j0 in the seated position, wrapping around one foot or one hand is the fastest way to do (or undo) it. tying knots would work too, but then it's semi-permanently in that length unless you're OK with tying and un-tying the knot on the fly. I found another Bodylastics video with the same instructor - he took off the handles to make the bands shorter - you can do this too for seated moves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYrJl22vCbo
