What channel is this on?
You can see it for free here: (Standing in the Shadows of Moton)

https://vimeo.com/306924495

It may be on Netflix.

Echo in the Canyon is the documentary that was in theaters last year. The documentary I posted about is "Laurel Canyon." We enjoyed Laurel Canyon more because it had more footage/photos of the actual artists.

If you like "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" you should see the documentary on The Wrecking Crew, which is about the studio musicians that played on a ton of albums released in the 1960s and 1970s. I think that one is on Netflix.

Thanks for posting about the Go-Go's doc on Showtime! I watched it last night and learned a lot I didn't know. I had no idea they came from a punk background or about the partying. I was in HS when they came on the scene and I started playing drums at that time, when there weren't a lot of girls doing that. Very cool.

Kathy Valentine just released a biography:

Autographed copies can be bought here. My husband bought one.

Wishiwasinhawaii, did you ever go to that store? It is in Ridgewood. My dh went once. They had Valerie Bertinelli and Ed Asner there for book signings on the same night. I am still kicking myself for not going. My back would have hated the long ride and standing in line. Both were really nice, and Ed Asner was a wisea$$.

I heard about Kathy's book. Thanks for the link! No, I haven't been to Bookends but it seems they're open now so maybe I'll make a trip up there before summer ends. Valerie Bertinelli and Ed Asner on the same night?? Wow, that must have been something!

Hi, Yes, my husband said it was really something to see both there the same night. I wish I'd gone....hindsight is 20/20!

For fans of Ann Wilson of Heart, this concert of hers was uploaded to you tube last night. It is professionally filmed. Now I am really glad we saw Heart with Joan Jett last summer!

Any Tom Petty fans?
The 70th birthday celebration for him is on his website. We are watching it now. It is excellent. I am looking forward to seeing Brandi Carlile. Adam Sandler sounded just like Tom! Stevie Nicks' letter to Tom was so heartfelt.
