saw this poll from yore and figured we needed a similar poll:
http://forum.videofitness.com/showth...nd#post2085925

it's nearing the end of June, the period in question is 7/1/15-6/30/16.

estimation is fine.

"Other" means not sure/denial.

Please include DVDs, downloads, and streaming.

Under $200 and that includes my purchases during last Black Friday sales and streaming obtained via Groupon specials. I think I finally reached saturation point. In previous years I would have easily have spent $1200+ in any given 12 month period.

Since it doesn't include my Pilates studio sessions, I know I'm under $100. I have a more-than-15-year accumulation, most of which I need to get rid of. Actually, I still have the first workout I bought back in 1988 just for nostalgia since I don't have a VCR but I didn't start really collecting until 2000 when I found VF. There are a lot of things I don't do any more, both due to preference and limitations from wear and tear. I think in the last year I bought two new Jessica Smith cardio DVDs and a duplicate of Lee Holden's bones and joints Qi Gong to keep at another location. Plus I pulled out everything I wasn't using so I can actually see the workouts I enjoy and find what I want to do. Almost feels like having new choices.

I no longer feel the need for new stuff all of the time. That's applying more and more to all facets of my life. I know what I like, which includes familiarity, I bought good items over the years that suit those preferences and I don't feel the same need for something novel. And I long ago got rid of everything with lame comments or jokes I don't want to hear every time I do the workout.

I've had to rely on old audio cassette fitness tapes I had on hand (50+) more and more
I've had six months of gaia.com streaming membership (also for the [entertainment/infotainment] movies); and had to suspend the membership (at full non-commit price after 99 cent first month) for 2 months, due to family demands ... I house sitting (back and forth from my own residence); and there may be ACLF for an elderly relative of mine.

Dance Week this year will come and go with no bites from me ...

Paid or unpaid:

No live gyms, no live studios, no kidding ...

[Under $100]

This includes postage for trades, SASEs, new purchases. I didn't include mad money splurges though. That would put me in the "denial" category

I am one of the two (at this point) people who voted $0.

If I do a DVD, I use something I already have. I haven't bought anything new in over a year, maybe 2 years. I work out at the gym most of the time now, so the need and desire for new DVDs isn't there anymore.

Now I am spending some $$ on gym memberships, bootcamps and personal training... about $100 a month for everything.

I have spent less than $100 this year so far. There are very few new DVD's that interest me, and I don't like to pay for monthly streaming subscriptions.

I chose other - for several years now I've been so very, very good! Suddenly I've been on a little bit of a buying spree. No big systems, but I've decided Yogaglo has become a medicine cabinet for me, the practices have helped me so much with shoulder pain or back pain or arm pain or neck .... etc., so the $18 monthly is worth it.

I purchased a set from Mirabai Holland, several newer Yee DVDs, and have been investing in Margaret Richard and my new love, Tracey Mallett. How did I not know about Tracey all these years? Major fest there. Got a couple at Mary's recent sale and more on VF Roost. Also made some nice trades recently after a long trading dormant spell.
