Does anyone have trouble switching from one function to the other in the Insant pot? I am still new to using it.

I use "saute" for steel cut oats, but I always have trouble switching it to the "porridge" mode to set it to cook on high for ten minutes. It takes several tries and sometimes goes to "off".

How do you switch from one cooking mode to another? I am talking step by step idiot proof instructions

Thanks!
Sherry

When I switch from saute to any other function, I have to hit the stop button then switch to the next.

In my Ayurvedic adventures I went searching for an IP method of making kitchari with green mung beans. I struck gold and this blog looks really good for grain, legume and ethnic dishes - pressure cooked and not.

And the mung bean/brown basmati rice kitchari: http://www.veganricha.com/2015/08/br...bean-stew.html

Thanks! Wow, I feel stupid The "this old gal" recipes don't say what to do when changing settings on her recipes, so I did not know that.

Thank you!

Hi. Has anyone cooked sprouted grains in the IP? I'm trying to figure out how long to cook sprouted brown rice and I can't seem to find directions anywhere. I think because it's sprouted probably a shorter cooking time/less water even would be required.

I may try this recipe over the weekend. I've actually never even had quinoa...

Exercise Diva-I searched online and couldn't find any either. Do you belong to any of the Instant Pot groups on Facebook? There is one for vegans. You'd probably have the best luck finding suggestions in that group.

Has anyone made meatloaf in the instant pot? I am curious about this recipe, but I would use ground turkey instead of beef:

Our son won't touch meatloaf, so I'd make it on a night when he is out.

Thanks!

I stumbled on this blog that has a bunch of Instant Pot recipes:

https://temeculablogs.com/category/instant-pot-recipes/

I like that she includes nutrition information.

That sounds really good Sherry, thanks for sharing! I would sub ground turkey, chicken, or pork for the beef.
